Great article and was eerily familiar to my own life(albeit that of a man's). I don't think there is anything wrong with being a sociopath, quite frankly it has helped me much more than it has hurt me. Especially when it comes to women and dating these days. I see my friends who are emotional wrecks when they break up or their girlfriends cheat or lie. I find myself thinking, wow I am lucky to not care enough to be emotionally vested like that. When things dont work out with a girl I am dating I often times think "well, thank god I wont have to go to her friends wedding now" or something along the same lines. Not sure if I am a true sociopath or if dating and understanding the true nature of women has made me emotionally cold. Either way, I am thankful for it.

I wish I was a sociopath, all my friends seem to be, either that or they are just malignant narcissists. Past year I've tried to stop having feelings for things, become more cold. Is it possible to become more sociopathic, or it just purely genetic and I am doomed to be a chump?

That someone would write this is a great testament to how fucked up our society has become. Not judging you, just think it's a unique development for people openly wishing to be evil.

A couple of years in the USMC turned me from empathetic beta chump to cheering when I hear about natural disasters killing people on the news

Im judging, wanting to be completely selfish and not care about anyone else? Its is a testament to society but also is a testament to this guys values.

You don't have to be a chump if you aren't a sociopath.

In today's world you're either taking advantage of someone, or they're taking advantage of you. The concepts of loyalty, honor, and brotherhood are tenuous at best. Like a string on a violin pulled far too taut. Only a moments away from snapping. Duty, brotherhood, loyalty are just pretty words used to weave a spell over the gullible

There are loyal friends out there, people worth being loyal to. Just don't pick them like a clubslut picks her men. If they've fucked their friends in the past, they'll do it again.

Also, don't expect loyalty beyond their capability. Before I had my current job, I once asked a friend to do something somewhat risky for me. He agreed, but I was tortured all night thinking if he would rat me out if he got caught. He was a true friend, but not a strong man, and certainly not cut out for prison. I realized that he probably would dime me out if put under enough pressure. Not out of disloyalty, but just out of weakness. I also realized, I would probably deserve it, for asking this. I ended up just telling him I would do it myself. Riskier for me to do than him, but I would be better able to handle the consequences.
