Just read Bang, thought it was great, but was disappointed by the fact that the advice on getting inside her place assumes that you are giving her a ride (yeah there's the "are you still trying to hang out?" line, but that doesn't work unless it's bar time, no good for a week day date). What to do when she drives herself to the date?

Here's what I did earlier this evening. At a suitable lull in the conversation, I kissed her for 10 seconds tops. When it was obvious she wanted more, I laughed and said "we're in public." (Comfortable pause) "Do you want to fix that?" (Laughter, another comfortable pause) "You're place or mine?" (Laughter, "your place, mine is too far away").

Wouldn't have done it, though, if she didn't seem so desperate for more after the first few seconds of kissing. So, anyone have a more generally applicable solution?

Huh? First, I don't live in Japan, second, parents/roommates/whatever are not the problem here. Unless you're suggesting that smoothly moving to a Love Hotel is easier that smoothly moving to someone's place, in which case how does that work?

Move to someone's place can be very intimate. Love hotel is easier because it is not your place, so you don't need to get it all clean or hers if she does not want to take you there for her reasons.
In the love hotel, each one in your car, yadda yadda.
I don't know how they are in there, but here they can cost 300 reais.

I'm not sure where the original poster is living, but in the U.S. there aren't "love hotels" like there are in Brazil, Japan, and some other countries. I know in Brazil there is a culture where many young people live with their parents or extended family well into their mid to late 20's, but in the U.S. people normally move away in their late teens/early twenties. We have motels in the U.S., but normally a decent cheap motel will still cost around $50 a night, and they don't rent out in 1-6 hour periods of time like in other countries. There are some extremely cheap motels, but they are normally really ghetto, dirty, nasty, and are places where drug addicts, prostitutes, etc. stay and "work". So here in the U.S. it is normal for a couple to either go to his place or hers, and most women would probably think it would be strange if you tried to take them do a sleazy motel for sex. She would probably think that you live with your parents, are sleeping on a friends couch, or you have a wife/girlfriend, if you tried to pull that.

Yes, maybe... I dont know then. Here is completely different.
Some people live by themselves in their early 20s - small town big town move on. Even tough they don't bring people over. A safety thing and a tought that "your house is your temple - reminds family and intimate friends"

Yeah there are alot of assumed conditions present in Bang. I did enjoy the book though. I mean I didn't even get a car until last year but when I was living off campus during college, I had three seperate occaisions where I was able to get females to take me back; twice my place and once her place (an indian chick taking me back? shit), to bang. The possibilities are endless man, so exploit all opportunities

At least in the Tri-state area( NY, NJ and CT) this is not true. Motels rent rooms by the hour and hotels only rent per night. Very few guys in the demographics you cited can actually afford to have their own place in NY. Thus, Motels are everywhere except in high cost areas of Manhattan and most of them are not glorified whore houses or are in the guetto. They usually go for 35 bucks for up to 3 hours. They come in handy when you don't want to bring the chick back to your place because you live-in girlfriend might cock block.

In California this is semi-true - the motels do not rent by the hour, but you can find a hotel for $40 a night (especially if you look up in advance). A shithole motel can be rented as cheap as $30 a night, but you do not want to be there.
