Invented the Mumps vaccine, using a sample from his daughter when she became ill from the disease. Now 95% of Americans get the vaccine, and when a rare case of measles appears in a hospital, young doctors have to find someone over about 50 to ask if it looks like the real thing.

This discussion really does inspire a lot of questions.

How much do you feel the drive to leave behind a legacy on the world?

Do you feel drawn by the idea of immortality in history?

Right now I feel like I'm nowhere near knowledgeable enough to leave behind any kind of footprint, but who knows, maybe this will change with age and wisdom.
