That song was awesome, and funny as well. She derides her rival in a line:
"I'm sure she'll make a lovely mother."

My impression from the song is she obviously really loved the guy/alpha.

The 16 bit recording quality ( it was done on ADAT) really limited the sound quality, marring what was a masterpiece out of nowhere.

Whenever I see that kind of blowing up the first thing I think is "alcohol" then "carbs" then "mood disorder."

Someone really wired like that at 20 may crash into depression and eat, eat eat......

I'll confess that I've liked some of this broad's music over the years but she was never great-looking, as soup states above. She was always sort of horse faced and had a dumpy physique. If you watch her video for the song Thank You, which she did in the "nude," you can already see this body taking shape--and that was in like 1998/99!

In other words, she was never far from this wall which she's clearly hit so hard.

I love Jagged Little Pill. The singles from that album are great.

And I hate the concept of 'guilty pleasures'. There are only two types of music.

Good music.

And bad music.

I had no problems with Alanis' looks when she was at her best. She could have easily gotten the pipe from me. But oh lord...it's as if she did little in the last two years except stay in the house and eat. And then tops it off with "Self Love" across the ass of her bikini as if to spit in our faces and say, "Yes, I'm fat. But I love myself this way and so does my husband."
