Saving and planting seeds will be illegal in the EU.

Good way to support agribusiness and cut off the food supply for anyone who won't obey the EU bureaucracy.

Yeah, this is worthless law that cannot be enforced. How the fuck can you keep seeds out of people's hands? May as well ban oxygen.

Reading the law also shows they just want to keep gardeners from selling their product at cheaper prices than is offered by large corporations such as Monsanto.

This law will only be selectively enforced, and people who want to grow food for their own will be untouched because there will not be any way to actively find every man who decides to start a garden.

Skimming the article it looks like it is a proposed law. So not illegal yet. There seems to be a strong anti-EU surge in the UK right now. This kind of proposal is not going to hep matters.

A few years back Monsanto ran into huge issues when they tried to do something like this in India and where giving a big "F U" by the Indian population.
