I've heard enough horror stories from the middle-lower class to know that there's no way in hell I'm getting marrried in this country, or if I do, I'll do everything in my power to make sure I have hand.

I wouldn't go throwing around this idea of a hypothetical wife if you've never been married. I've seen the dysfunctional relationship of my own parents to know that even the best marriages starting out can go to hell if any number of things happen (usually revolving around money and failure of self employed businesses). A good number of older guys I know have spent a night or two (sometimes weeks) in the slammer for hitting their wives for shitty behavior, and in a small town or nosey neighborhood, you're basically dead to all social circles once your wife tells all her friends. I've seen this kind of thing happen before and the majority of people immediately side with the wife because they don't know what kind of a person she is in her own home.

Also, what Samseau said. Some women are completely unhinged and there's no telling how bad they'll get later in the marriage, especially if they feel justified for whatever shitty behavior you can neither tolerate nor properly punish.

There are some real dimwits here in regards to domestic violence.

When the stats show that 45% of all domestic violence is committed by a woman, the lower forms of life can only summise that 'huh.. 45% of women don't hit their husbands', then muddy the waters of deabte by bringing in their stupidity.

Firstly, a woman's calls of 'he hit me' are known by every credible study, to institute favourable treatment towards them. IIRC the de jure stance of many police in the U.S is to outright apprehend the male, then investigate afterwards. So much for a presumption of innocence.

However, the most telling point about domestic violence stats isn't women on male spouses.. this is only around 28% (of reported cases)

Women (wives,mothers) commit around 70% of physical abuse of their children, that is in the huose, that is domestic abuse.

Now to chortle 'f*ckin' beta, he should smack his wife into line!' belies the many arms of feminism and the divorce/DV industries they have created. A father who is concerned for the wellbeing of his children and wants to remove them from a violent mother has what?

Many people move great distances to get jobs, away from family where this sort of support is available. This silverman guy wanted to create the first of its type and was still denied.

Whilst I agree that the MRA angle is flawed because at it's core you still have to rely on women being intelligent adults capable of reason to implement change... and this is where it all falls down, but some guys are already down that path.
