Indeed. Well done, mate. I appreciate this because this is the path I started on a year ago, and we (my wife and I) are making excellent headway. We sold a ton of crap, got rid of our expensive house and downsized (I rent now, not own). I took an interesting job and started a lot of side projects that won't produce money now, but they are excellent life skills and experiences (i.e., making homemade wine, hunting, fishing, gardening, getting back to basics). My wife is ramping up her home business and took a crappy job just to accelerate our debt elimination plan.

This makes a huge difference in how you look at the world and how flexible you can be. I have made a lot of bad decisions trying to increase my income to pay off more and more debt for shit I don't love.

Yeah, you can try to keep up with the Joneses, but they are fucking over-leveraged and broke as hell.

Well, it's common sense on these forums. hell the only things Ive had over the past 7 years were

1)my computer (kinda need it for "What I want to do")

2)clothes: need to look decent

3)books: usually about business idea I want to get into.

I opened, saw that it was a ted talk then closed, Dave Ramsey says the same sort of thing and so did my grandfather...except he had to wait 60 years for grandma to be put in a home to pursue his dreams again.
