Alright, I know that text messaging vs. phone call has already been discussed/debated on here, and I've read through some older posts that I did a search for on this forum. However, it is still not clear to me, if one is necessarily better than the other, and really just may depend on the girls preference.

Now I'll admit that sometimes I'm a bit neurotic, over-analytical, and anal about stuff, but I'm not trying to sweat this issue too hard, just trying to figure out my best course of action. Recently, I've been relying on text messaging girls, and was able to set up dates with my last two chicks through text, but a very strong connection/attraction was already established. As I mentioned in another post I went on a phone number collecting spree this weekend, got 6 numbers, and I'm currently 0 for 1 (I texted the hottest one a HB 9.5 half Japanese/white 30 year old who already has a boyfriend).

I know in "Bang" Roosh strongly discourages texting, but on an older post on this forum, suggested that texting seems to be the "future" or something to that affect, and it sounds like he has a text messaging "guide" due to come out in the near future. Today I talked to a good female friend who at one point really sweated my nuts, but is only average looking, she said always call the girl, because it makes you seem waay more confident. I also had a long conversation with a friend who lives in SF, who is a real natural and one of the best players that I know, he said that he prefers text because it's more "chill" and he doesn't like having to "explain" who he is to a girl that he met when drunk at a bar/club. So I'm getting different ideas, I think I'm going to just end up texting these girls tonight, which might be a bitch move, but I'm still not great on the phone.

To wrap this up, I'd love a critique from some of the more experienced guys on the forum, I normally don't "chit chat" on text, and kind of get straight to the point, with something like this:

"Hey Sarah, this is OGNorCal, how's it going? I liked talking to you at the bar the other night, you seem really cool, we should get together and hang out. I'm pretty free the next couple of days, and would be down to meet up for a drink."

Any thoughts or critiques would be nice, again I know it may sound like I'm being neurotic and over-analytical and I probably am, just trying to refine my game, as my number closing percentage is seriously like at 90% these days. But as most of us have said and agreed upon, numbers don't mean shit, if there is no follow up action!

Damn it, I hate to admit it, but so far I'm 0 for 5, with the girls I've called/texted. After talking to another female friend, I decided to call the second half of the girls, after the first half I texted (with no reply). Only one that I called actually answered her phone and claimed that she didn't remember me, I tried to game her, and convince her to go out with me to no avail. I think she actually did remember me, but I was really drunk and literally immediately after getting her number, made out with a girl that I've hooked up with, basically right in front of her. That was a bad move, so I kind of don't blame her, and regreted doing it afterwards, because she seemed really cute/nice/smart, the kind of chick I'd like to go out with, fucking alcohol is a bitch! Oh well, back to the drawing board, time to get out in the field and collect another 6 numbers, hopefully this time around I'll build stronger connections/attraction. Man, I gotta say though my ego is hurt a bit, I thought I'd get dates with at least half these girls, but at least I've got the number closing aspect down. I've also decided to go all in on calling girls to get the first date, just got to work on my phone game.

I rather call than text someone new... I like to hear the voice and figure the mood...Later can be possible text only, but in beggining it is better call.

I dont like your text message. Its generally best to just say nonsensical playful shit. Then do some bantering back and forth and ask her out to do something. Your messages is pretty generic and she gets texts like that all the time. You need to be different.

Thanks for the feedback, yeah now that I think about it, I guess you're right. I'll check out the website, even though I still like text, I think I'm going to take my female friends' advice and just going to call girls from now on. I ended up getting a call back from one girl and got a date tomorrow night, and another one texted me today and invited me to go out with her friends for a birthday tonight, but I think I may pass. Yeah I guess the numbers game is legit, I got one date from six numbers, and who knows where that will go. I;m kind of kicking myself for texting the two hottest ones, neither got back to me, called the rest of them, oh well live and learn I suppose.

I personally dont call ever, unless the meet is already set up, and you need to play the "where you at, im here and i dont see you game". I find that everything just runs smoother via msging. Then again, i am messaging constantly when im doing almost anything, and people know its b/c i multitask alot. I feel that calling often comes off as too needy, but a msg is more like, "hey im doing something but i thought you might relate to it. And if i need something long and drawn out, ill do it in person, or call and talk for more than 5 min.

Thats just my style, i keep non face to face very short. Leave em wanting more interation with you, but only give it to them irl.

IMO you're saying waaay too much in a first text, it's too long and too straight forward. Banter more.

Haha, and to think i used to text like this back in the day.

I often do the "so what exciting thing have you done recently" kinda text, and then seguay into an invitation or something cool i was doing or planning to do, and then offhandly invite them to come along. Its feels a bit weird, but it works magic.

Phone game is slowly dying imo, but if that is your strong point then go for it. I text them the day after and make sure it is succinct and witty. What I like to do is to create an inside joke with the girl, that way when I text them it'll have something to do with the inside joke. She associates it with me and makes her more inclined to respond back. Then I proceed with setting up a date.
