Some more cheap Trader Joe's recommendations...

Check out the La Finca wines from Mendoza, Argentina:



The Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon are particularly good, although I've heard the cab can be hit or miss for some people. They also have a Tempranillo that's okay. Not sure about the Chardonnay because I'm not much of a white wine drinker. I like La Finca a lot more than 2 buck chuck, and they only cost about $5/bottle. Definitely worth the extra couple bucks.

Then there's the Incanto Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano:



This is a pretty solid Sangiovese dominant blend from the Chianti region. I think it runs about $9-10, but it's as good as wines that I've had for twice the price.

Finally you have the Reggiano Lambrusco:



This is a light, sparkling red wine that is good for summer time, day drinking, or for dessert. The broads will love it, especially if they aren't wine snobs. Goes for about $5.
