Zuck has been a great executive, but he didn't come up with anything original. There was Friendster, then there was Myspace. Facebook just rode the wave. He never invented anything new and there was nothing particularly innovative about FB. Some people act like the guy is Tesla or something.

What they lacked was an elite social access to Harvard and the Boston party scene. It was GOOD back in the 2000's.

Zuckerburg is no more special than the guys who were part of the 60's in Hollywood. Right place, right time, right technology.

I'm not saying facebook is without merit, but it is overvalued and overcredited.
