will be heading down to Bali & Jakarta (Indonesia) in September.

can anyone give any info on those places in general, hotels, nightlife, where to hang out or anything else?

Hey Z,

Bali is great! I had a place in Kuta and I didn't even stay there one night!!!
I have a Jakarta Report which will help...
I met the most beautiful Muslim girl there and had no problem scoring.

any suggestions with regards to bars/clubs to hang out at would be very much appreciated; mainly interested in local girls/asians (no pro's) and less so aussie/western tourists. is day game effective?

also any views on what area to stay in, hotels, etc would be very helpful. Jakarta is so massive so promixity to nightlife is an important consideration; do hotels have problems with bringing girls back?

is it like thailand where they fall right into your lap or more like hong kong/tokyo where they generally like (white) westerners but you still have to make the first move?

Jakarta I got laid on my first night there by a regular girl (not semi pro) but I have been told that the bar (called Tanamur) has since closed.

I took her back to my hotel and the hotel did not give me any hassle or try to charge me more for the room

Jakarta is not really a place to stick around in though unless you are really into traffic jams and goverment buildings because thats all I remember of the place.

For Bali, the first night I was there I stayed in Kuta. Its basically just full of drunk aussies. One night there for me was enough. South of there you have the five star hotel region of the island which is not really my scene.

In the centre of the island you have Ubud which is the cultural and artistic capital of the island. I mostly stayed there. Its really chill with a nice bar / cafe / restaurant scene and beautiful landscapes.

Rent a motor scooter and you can use Ubud as a base to explore the whole island as Ubud is in the centre.

Check out the lava sand beaches on the north coast too.

If you have time, take a ferry from Bali over to the next island which is called Lombok. I stayed there in a town in sengigi and banged a few local girls there in the 3 days that I was there no problem. Its a nice town with all the bars and restaurants that you see on Bali but with far less tourists so you are far more of a draw there that you would be on Bali.

I second the moto idea. You need to get out of Kuta at least for a little while, it's a beautiful island.
As for Kuta, I recommend accommodation on Jalan Poppies 2, it's in the heart of the action. As Lumiere mentions, there are loads of drunk Aussies to contend with, but local Balinese are ripe for the picking using day game. I can't comment on Lombok but I've heard good things, the island of Flores is pretty cool aswell.
