The war that began in 2001 in Afghanistan was a result of the failure of US-Taliban negotiations regarding the extradition of Osama Bin Laden. You might argue the US diplomacy failed as bullies but the bottom line is that the Taliban did not turn over Bin Laden and Bin Laden subsequently bombed New York City, killing thousands of American civilians. The Taliban still refused to hand him over and as a consequence, so the US went to war.

If anything, the community would put this event into the "Other" category which coincides with things like race debates, gun control debates, politics, war debates, etc. Reading through the Boston thread, the conversation turned to "Well I am a veteran, so STFU" versus "These bombings happen all the time, but we only care in the USA."

My point is this -- All of these writers are smart, intelligent, capable guys who I like to read and enjoy their take on the world. I am no playa with a passport...But I enjoy the debates, racist flame wars and all the shit that goes along with having a big group of people with a wide-ranging set of ideals having serious discussion about life and the world we live in. I feel like the manosphere is sticking its head in the sand with regards to this particular incident by ignoring and putting it into the "other" category.

I come to the vague conclusion that geopolitical debates always always always come back down to race flame wars and political flame wars. Maybe that's all human beings boil down to in the end as well, I don't know. I just wanted to point out what I thought was a little weird... as of right now, 24 hours after a MAJOR terrorist attack on a HUGE US metropolis, the manosphere has nothing to say.

It might be just the fact that it's too soon. We don't know who did it yet. We find out it's a home-grown operation white boy, then one side is going to go nuts. We find out it's a Middle Easterner, then the other side is going to go nuts....maybe people are just waiting on the facts so they can take their respective ideological sides and get to work bashing their opponents.

Ultimately, it's just a little weird to be reading typical Game posts and frame control stuff on a day like today, acting like nothing insane happened yesterday.

Im going to be frank. People need to harden the fuck up a little. The overreaction and the drama that has followed this event has been over the top and its starting to get on my tits. The world is not coming to an end over this. Its not like someone just nuked Boston FFS.

Honestly, it was a bomb blast. Its sad and its horrible thing that happened and I hope they cut the bastards balls off when they catch him. This is not a 9/11 or London type attack though, its just another Tuesday in Northern Ireland or Iraq. This type of shit happens and the USA, with its population in excess of 300 million, is going to produce the odd nutcase. Given the current campaigns in the Middle East, that this is the first major incident since 9/11 speaks volumes for how safe things are.

Now I know when it hits close to home it can be shocking, but the doom and gloom has gone beyond ridiculous. Expecting the whole world to come to a fucking standstill because of a minor bomb blast in Boston is absurd, especially considering you are at war.

There were 11 car bombs in Iraq yesterday. There was a bomb blast in Bangalore today. These were news paper headlines, not a two day global media extravaganza.

What on earth am I supposed to write about that bomb? I'm on holiday and barely checking the news, I'm a UK citizen, it has no obvious game/red pill connection, and no thematic link to what I write about. I am in no way an expert on terrorism.

I think it was an awful attack and my sympathies are with those hurt by it. But really, why would anyone care about my "take" on it?

It's too soon and there are almost no facts out there yet. Prudent men wait for facts before opening their mouths.
The media is so unreliable I have to wait at least a week for any piece of the real story to come out.
Remember how wrong the media's initial reports are with big stories -- Trayvon/Zimmerman, Benghazi, Duke Lacrosse, etc.

But I digress, I do agree with the gist of your post. Most people are set in their world view and although debating with strangers on the Internets is entraining it is a waste of time. I don’t know about the rest of the other bloggers you mentioned but Roissy/CH was probably waiting for confirmation that the perp(s) weren't White. Nevertheless, they look White enough to me. In other words, they would not be able to sing the chorus of Trinidad James' "All Gold Everything" outloud in harlem and not expect to have a problem.

I am just glad that it wasn't brotha who did this. Roissy would have had an aneurysm.
