I will be heading out to Manila again on Thursday, my 4rth time in 2 months, have decided to focus in this market to start building some connections. Has anyone been to the pool parties at te new hotel and casino, they are supossed to be vegas esque? Also, does anyone have first hand experience on rhe QC szene? I think either it will be better as chix are hot and even younger, or worse as they'll be overwhelmned. So gar have only been to republic where I have a magic ratio, but hate feeling like an asshole because you have no where to even sit down and the with the psycho luke skywalker wanna be flashlight wieling bouncers.

Mactan isn't like Bali where the beach there is huge and completely open.

From speaking with Cebu girls most beaches on Mactan seem to be attached to a major hotel or resort and are kind of crap. Or crap in their minds compared to the "good" beaches which seem to all be a 3 hour trip away. Personally I don't even like the beach anyway so the idea of spending 6 hours in a car doesn't seem like fun to me.

The hotels do offer 'day passes' to access their beach which:
- range from around 200-2000pp (high end being Shangri-la which does include buffets too)
- may or may not include a small consumable
- allow access from 9am to either 5pm or 8? pm (5pm end time is pretty terrible)

I went with a girl to White Sands on a weekend - 750pp ea, either 200 or 400 consumable tickets for food/drinks.
Their beach is only about 20m wide. One resort next door that looked crowded had about a 40m wide beach. The water only went about waist high. They had a large pool too. You can rent jetskis or small boats to go island hopping from random dudes pestering you near the edges of where the water is marked off. So overall pretty terrible for a beach. And not fun since the girl I was with basically friend-zoned me (I made some earlier game mistakes).

You can't go from beach to beach, well you could but it would be immediately obvious since there's booeys and and some point you'd need to get back...

The people at the resorts I could see were either there for some kind of corporate company party / bonding event or a few groups of old foreign dudes with super young girls and 1 or 2 members of their family.

Prive last Tuesday (no cover). I got there at 12:30 and I was a little worried at the start seeing it was mostly tables and zero dance floor. That's ok - post up by the bar, grab my 285 peso vodka/sprite and smile and enjoy the music...

It's a ton of mixed groups between about 3-10 people each group, including 3-4 seated tables.. some foreigners, everyone looks well dressed (save one super tall white guy wearing sandals and shorts, not sure how he got in??)

In the corner I notice an older dude that looks like a better looking version of the penguin and a short filipino gay dude with a group of 7-8 girls. One of the girls in a red dress and curly hair bounces in front of me towards a friend of hers that was standing at the bar getting a drink. As she passes she smiles and I say hi. She is chatting with her friend for a minute or two and then asks me my name, we chit chat a little and I tell them it's my first day in Manila. She invites me to go with them to their table. I meet all the girls and make sure I say hello to the guy who's likely the one that's paying for the drinks - to make sure he's cool with some random joining his group.

I explain to curly hair that I was a little disappointed in Cebu night life, lots of naughty bars and regular bars with.. "full of prostitutes?" she fills in my sentence while making a face before I can say "bad girls." I'm not sure now if she was joking around or whatever, I couldn't understand exactly with the noise, but it was something like "I'm xxx bad girl xx xx working tonight". With the other girls I couldn't tell or not if they were bad girls, they're with a busted dude, and the girls all look completely different to each other but still cute.

Anyway, they give me drinks and shots from the table, the girls seem to be dancing and humoring the penguin and the short filipino isn't actually gay just looks it, the girls are dancing with him too but not grinding on him.. so I decide they aren't full on bad girls but who knows.
I say to Curly hair and her friend that “Curly... you aren't really drinking.” (she was sipping on water, and when she would be given a full drink I saw she was just either swapping with another girl that had a less full one or taking a sip and putting it down. “You're really perceptive.” they say.

Later on some of the girls in the group are drunk, one starts playing matchmaker and pushing girls in the group onto me, one that's eyeing me is cute but has terrible huge fake eyelashes. They're also pushing original curly hair girl on me who thinks it's kind of funny... when I was escalating by touching and making verbal statements of intent it seemed to go well but she wouldn't really dance on me.

Meanwhile curly hair continues to be meeting people at tables around, or saying hello to people she knows, almost every time introing me to them as well. One is a cool gay dude who was at a table next to me and he introduces me to his girl friend who he says is sad (something about ex-boyfriend), I say I can't promise that I will make her not sad but I will say hello. She is tiny even with heels and wearing a super long black dress, gives me some compliment, I tell her I love her and her eyes light up, we hug each other and she tells me more than once that she's wasted... she goes off somewhere to talk to a friend and asks me to wait there, and chill back with the original group, later I see her sitting and her sister points at her, I smile and look away.. I look for her later but don't see her even though most of their group and her sister are still there.

In the middle of this I meet a guy with a girl that I tell it's my first night here and don't really know where to go and he gives me the name and number of a promoter friend of his. I make sure to send him a msg the next day. I do but he doesn't end up responding until Thursday.

In original group short friend of curly tells me they're going to another club in Makati and I should go with them. (name of bar is called Time) I say sure why not, the two girls don't seem sketchy or weird and reassure me I will get home safe. During the trip curly hair puts her head on my shoulder... what is this girl's deal?

We don't pay cover, I buy the 2 girls I know drinks since they just saved me paying 500p cover. I meet a bunch more people, and one guy who remarks when I say she knows everyone “Yeah she's a promoter.” Of course, this makes sense now.

At some point curly asks me to sit at a table with some other people, I do but no one is really talking. I get bored and think fuck it, why not push this, I stand and take her hand and dance, don't get a positive reaction when I escalate... so I let her go.
Dance for a little bit and realize it's starting to clear out (I see At this point it's almost 6, the club isn't as full, and the only few girls that are there still are with guys, so I leave.

These are the kind of detailed reports I like to read.

I don't know how long you plan on staying but I would not suggest hooking up with the promoters. You want them to be flirty and friendly with you but keep it to that. They can get you on the guestlist and into the VIP sections so no need to let any drama fuck that up when there are plenty of other girls. Plus if they like you they will push other girls your way just like they were doing to you.

If you stay long enough and make enough connections they will also start inviting you to house parties which is where you can really find some crazy shit going down. Usually they take place at some rich older expats house or condo and the ratio will be 3 girls to 1 guy.

Wednesday
Republiq at 12:30 after poker at Resorts World. Door guy said usually I should bring my real ID and not a copy, but it's ok for this 1 time. Place is huge, tons of tables and couches. No real dance floor to speak of, but there's a little bit of space on the aisles and near the bars where it was a lot of older dudes standing with drinks in their hand. I did see 2 pairs of girls standing near the back, one of the pairs was super tall and might have been trannies, each I thought might be working girls... My brain is still in the mindset of Cebu bars where it's a little wary of people and what their deal is (since it's usually bad girls).

I'm sipping my free drinks kind of absorbing the scene and I notice curly hair at a table with a decent looking foreign dude and a couple girls running and her fingers through his hair. An actual BF or just being a playette or promoter keeping table buyers happy? Who knows.

Most of the tables are full, and probably 50% of the girls sitting around had a look on their face like they didn't want to be there or are just staring at their phone. I get the impression that they don't actually know the guys at the table very well, are just joining for the free drinks and validation.

While at the bar 2 girls come and get water, one short persian who is gulping it down, one tall filipina with huge boobs who is next to me. Short one hip bumps the friend into me, I smile and play it off, she does it again and the tall one steps her high heel into my shoe. I break rapport with a smile and said hey you just made your friend step on me, how mean of you... anyway Persian asks me where I'm from, I tell her and chat a little and she is drunk and has a thick accent and says she is a student here.

She then starts sexy dancing in front of me and I dance on her. I ask the friend how they know each other and she says friend of friend. I get the feeling like the friend might just be watching over her drunk friend. Persian walks back off to get another water to drink, I chill back and get another drink for myself and notice a bald dude with shirt tucked in handing drinks to the girls who I hadn't seen before. At this point I'm not even talking to either of them, just sipping my drink at the bar and the dude is standing in front of me. I say “Hey” and he says to me “You're cutting my grass.” (I had to make him repeat it to understand and comprehend over his accent). I guesture to Persian standing a few metres away and say “Go ahead man.” He gives me a death stare at me and says “Beat it.” I frown and say “I'm just standing here, they approached me.” Again stare: “Beat it.” I walked away.

Not great handling putting an amog in his place, but I didn't escalate the situation at all. After an 'incident' in Cebu I wasn't in any mood to get confrontational, since I don't know what this guy's deal is and if he's anyone important. Probably not, but this is my first night here and my second night in the city and I'm just here to enjoy myself.

Later on I'm back at the bar again and the Persian comes back and gives me happy eyes and asks where I was. She tells me she's actually leaving on Tuesday. (this made no sense, she said she was a student earlier?) Translation: “I'm not here long, just looking for the D”. I say that her friend doesn't like me and told me not to talk to you. “He's not my friend.” Boom, shot dead in the water, he's done. I decide not to go for it, I should have just pulled her away somewhere to get her number and figure out details later. I see baldy making his way towards again from across the room and I leave. I take satisfaction in knowing he's not getting laid tonight. How many drinks had different guys been buying them that night hoping they'd get lucky?

Later on a random girl holding a huge martini glass full of liquor cheers's me. I know from experience the cheers is a freelancer's favorite open. Ask her standard questions, she's failing basic tests (can't answer who she's with, what she's doing here), tells me she's drunk. Starts rubbing her ass on my crotch. She looks good in her dress and it gets me hard but I know it's too good to be true. She tells me the name of some bar she works at but I can't understand it. After a while she tells me she wants to go there and I tell her no. I say "You work there, but not tonight I guess since you're here." She says "I work there, I work here.. is that a problem?" /rolleyes

A friend of hers comes who's poorly dressed and starts talking to her in Tagalog. The friend is trying to either get her to not do to do something. She wants me to go with her to a table in front. Girl takes my hand and starts walking down towards the front VIP, we get to the tables and she puts her drink down on an empty table and just kind of stands around. I turn around and walk away without saying anything. I figure using me to make someone jealous, or get me horny so I try to take her home and pay for her.

Overall it seemed like most groups of hot girls get invited to tables by dudes. I saw a lot of dudes at tables with terrible game – so shitfaced they had spilled liquids all over their shirts, stumbling around drunk, with girls at their table and just sitting there drinking...
If I went again here I'd probably have to go earlier to see if more girls are just chilling not yet at tables, meet girls outside in courtyard wandering around that plan to come in later, or go in with a group I already know and go from there.

When leaving the club in the hall a bouncer who I had seen a couple of times gets my attention and says that he'd appreciate any tips, after all “our job is your safety”. It felt like a little like a shakedown – like if I don't tip you, you won't keep me safe?? I've never in 34 years had a bouncer ask for a tip except for greasing to get IN to a bar. I decide to play it cool and say “Yeah, you guys do a job I couldn't do, here thanks dude.” And give him 200p that he seemed happy with. Looking at it like an investment, maybe he'll remember my face again (probably not, though I do have a look and voice people seem to recognize) and have my back if needed – $5 well spent. As I exit the tunnel and walk past the entrance another redshirt I hadn't seen before and doorgirl mention something about tips I smile and ignore – this must just be something they do to shakedown drunks leaving the bar or guys leaving with girls and the guys feel obligated to tip so they look good in front of the girl. Smart – a little unclassy, but smart.

I'm kind freaking out over something, not sure where else to post it.

Sunday I had the shits all day pretty bad, not sure if it was just the drinking Tuesday-Sat or maybe bad water somewhere. No stomach ache at all. I took 2 Azithromycin and kept drinking water.

Yesterday it was a little better. After jerking off, a couple hours later my balls are tender and a tad swollen. I figure maybe its just blue balls a little. Woke up dizzy today but could have just been dehydrated and Azithromycin side effect. Today they're still a little swollen and a sore now 30 hours later. No other symptoms.

I'm freaking out it being a hernia, infection, std related (google can freak you out).. I guess I can show up in the hospital in Fort Bonifacio (it looks decent, but I'm picturing something terrible) and ask to see a doctor... I have travel insurance so the cost shouldn't be a problem but I've never had to deal with health issues I couldn't solve on my own while travelling.

I am sorry to hear about your situation. I understand the concern that the hospital might be disgusting inside, but maybe it won't be. But more importantly, a visit might give you some piece of mind by at least knowing what it is and from there a course of action can be taken. Thinking about all the different possibilities can stress a person out unnecessarily. Good luck.

Yeah man, go to the hospital. And i've been in your shoes, though not in the Philippines. I remember haggling with a local doctor in Playa Del Carmen to have my dick checked even though i didn't even get laid recently. Turned out to be nothing, disappeared in a few days just as the doctor had said it would. The greedy bastard wanted $200, but I negotiated the price down to $20. Also remember beating off in Cartagena, not wanting to pay for play or having the drive to score with non pros. It looks like you need to get yourself checked and change the scenery a little, perhaps even go to another country? Ever been to Thailand? How abt online game? Have you tried that? Should work very well in the Philippines.

Dude, I"ve been to makati medical center many times. there's also st lukes (which is the best hospital in the country, though I've never been).

The hospitals are the best in the country there. It's not bad.

Dance floors-almost none to be found in clubs in the philippines. really pisses me off.

Trannies at republiq- republiq has the most post-op ladyboys of any high end club in manila. Period. These aren't the trashy ones, these are the very convincing ones (to newbs). I've seen guys here leave out the door with ladyboys. Proceed with caution. There are many of them at this club.

Didn't go to bed and went to St. Luke's in Fort. Place is super nice and makes Vancouver hospitals look embarrassing though then again was built a couple years ago.

Seems some doctors here also run on 'Philippine time'. 9am office hours was 10am for one and at least 9:45 for another.

I was all worried about making insurance claims, etc. but realized with a $300 deductible it would have to be pretty serious shit to bother claiming. Consult appointment - 1000 pesos, ~$25. Says balls are normal, no hernia, was probably dehydrated from shitting and might have gotten UTI so gave me UTI-specific antibiotics (cost: 217 pesos, ~$5.40) and to drink lots of water. Though they still don't feel normal.

Body is probably not in the best shape, been eating shit the last week or not eating at all and drinking 5 out of 7 days (which isn't unusual but in Cebu I had a 2 minute walk to Ayala to eat).

Brodiaga: I am giving Manila a run for a little while. I was in Thailand on my trip for quite a while. I haven't posted about my adventures there or many other places yet. I'm trying to catch up (writing backwards in time?). I am active on 4 sites online here (lol)... it's addicting, frustrating, validating.. I could make an entire post on just my experiences online.

Ok I sleep now. Still need to post on Thurs/Fri/Sat from last week where I met up with promoter guy.

Rvlefty pretty much summed it up, I only went to the beach on Mactan Island once, it was at a nice resort, we snuck in for free by telling security we were staying in room 302 or something. It was a nice resort style set up, good food and good prices during the four hour happy hour, but as Rvlefty says, its a lot of families, not much of a party scene. As far as Cebu city goes, I didn't like it mainly due to:

-Shitty nightlife: The best place to go is Mango Square, that place is consistently packed everyday of the week, but its full of whores, lady boys, big spending Koreans and greasy sex tourists. If you're going to go, best to hit up Alcohology rather than J-ave (which is full of the aforementioned shit heads). There are other places to party such as Cross Roads and I.T Park, but I went to clubs in both areas at midnight on a Saturday and they were all dead, so back to Mango we went.

Really there isn't a hell of a lot to do in Cebu during the day besides hanging out at Ayala mall or SM mall, both are decent. When I was there in April, it was so damn hot outside that walking even 500M would leave you sweating like a pig.

Cebu is a gold mine for finding girls, but I don't recommend staying there for longer than a few days before heading somewhere nicer. Bohol is only a two hour ferry ride, I recommend hitting up Alona Beach there, or heading down to Dumaguete, which is a four hour ferry ride from Cebu, that's my favorite city in the Philippines.

The bottle scene and reserved tables made Republiq a bit difficult to game in at first, but its a big enough club that you can move around in without being noticed. There's a lot of girls there in groups, it reminded me of Colombia but you can easily get numbers by hanging out near the bar, that's what I did. There were also quite a few lady boys at Republiq when I was there, something I didn't see, at all, over in Fort Bonifacio at bars like Prive and URBN.

That's why I liked the Fort so much, it doesn't have the biggest night clubs and the easiest lays but there's so much less riff raff there that I think its worth it.

Thursday I meet the promoter (call him PP for Philipino Promoter) at URBN in the Fort. He's over an hour late meeting me but he's apparently with 2 girls at another place.

He arrives with the 2 girls and we have a drink there before and I meet 2 other Euro guys who are friendly but end up mostly talking to each other. PP I and 2 girls go downstairs and tell the guys to meet us out in front. Downstairs we just start walking and I remind them we should wait for the guys (which was STUPID of me, we should have just gone...)

We head to Prive – I admit part of me kind of me wanted to show up and get a table, to stick it to Curly for playing around. At the door PP tries to get us in but the door girl says we can pay cover 500ea. For the 6 of us or just get a table for 5000. I guess I'll get my wish. Of course I'm the one picking up the tab, the 2 girls aren't going to pay – later I ask the guys to help out and they do.

Inside it's pretty crazy again, lots of people, though this time I get introduced to mostly DUDES. Who I also notice are circling around the girls we are with and kind of just staring or pushing each other up to make an approach to talk to them. It's only a friendly vibe with the girls anyway so I didn't care but it's funny how the filipino guys didn't care if they were at our table or not.

Part of me was kinda pissed, Curly wasn't even there, I basically met a bunch of dudes, and kind of fell into the whole bottle scene temptation.

Friday I head to Palladium as PP's invitation – they have a table there already with 2 bottles. There's a couple more people, I meet the 2 girls from last night and I'm engaging them both but more in a friendly way. I ask one what she does besides going out a lot. She doesn't really have an answer.

I am meeting people here and there in the VIP but my VIP game is pretty weak – back at home if I'm ever at a VIP it's with close friends I all already know, and people don't buy bottles they just buy drinks. After being introduced to new people, most wouldn't even look at you after exchanging names, those that I would ask a follow up question would answer politely but never offer anything to the interaction whatsoever.
Later I am dancing and there are girls around (but not really engaging anyone) and a different promoter asks me “Champagne for the girls?” I say no, and the picture is starting to get a little clearer about the REAL high-end Manila clubbing scene.

Later at Time I meet a girl on my own, we are dancing and making out heavy, unfortunately my breakdown of what happened is clouded by a bit too much alcohol / shots. After going to the bathroom she says she is going home. I get her number but have NO memory of what she looks like. Cockblocked by too much alcohol - I didn't even TRY and pull. I later get her Facebook and creep her photos, she doesn't seem like a ladyboy, but isn't passing the boner test. The next day I tell her where I'm going but she says she's going to a QC with friends (Insanity I think?) and I can stay over at her condo if I want after (how forward of her?) But I say we can meet another time (I don't know what kind of bar it is, won't know any friends, and it's far from where I live, and I can't sleep in strange places).

Saturday I would go to Palladium again, but this time spent all my time on the other side of the velvet rope. There are girls on the dance floor I see giving approach invitations, and are cute but don't do anything for me.

Seeing the scene from the outside the details of he scene start to become clearer - a ton of bottles are being bought, there are a ton of girls and model dudes. The model dudes for the most part don't appear to be buying bottles. I do see girls and guys together and rarely leave together, but not really.

At one point a fattie and blonde big boobed EE girl are dancing, and basically waiting for me to open them. I'm given multiple chances, but FAIL. Later I see them with a fit dude who leaves with them - that's what I get.

Later an obvious bad girl cheers's me, I ask her what she does for work, she says "Whatever you want it to be." I say I understand, and walk away. Her friend is with some white guy that looks a little rough, I keep my distance.

I head to Time but it's closed due to Liquor Election ban.

Sounds like you're having a rough go over there. Are you pretty new to game, or do you normally do well back home with girls? SEA is a cake walk, if you're fuckin with low class hookers and poor girls. It requires some game and work for decent quality girls though.

Also, what were you wearing at the club? Not sure about Manilla, but BKK is a very stylish city. If Manilla is the same, do an assessment of your wardrobe and upgrade it if need be.

I'm not new, but I don't have a lot of success back home. I do have decent game, I know that when I post about nights where not a ton goes down - this is probably like most guys nights out there but they just aren't posting about it.

In Bangkok most foreigners were usually in a t-shirt and shorts or pants, since I always wore a collared shirt and jeans it wasn't a problem there. Most of my hangouts there had bad girls. I didn't/couldn't shore. I haven't posted about my BKK experiences in detail, I'm kind of writing backwards.

Manila is very stylish. I'm on par with a collared shirt / dress shoes / casual shoes - many guys (usually locals) wear collared shirt plus jacket, I would be soaking wet if I wore that here (I'm soaking wet wearing a light shirt outside in 5 minutes here). I don't think that's my problem.

Cebu I had much more success (3 girls). I have a lot of interest in me from (poorer) girls online here, but nothing that jumps out.

Browsing the Facebook photos of some of the girls tagged in a lot of the club nights photos makes the Manila scene a little more clear. These girls are hot - 7,8,9's.
- Sometimes they have hundreds of 'followers'.
- They have hundreds if not thousands of photos, most set as public (more likes!).
- Most belong to Manila model groups (professional or not).
- Most of their statuses or hot pictures have between 15 and 80 likes.
- Most photos have a dozen or so comments from other girls or dudes about how hot/sexy they are.
- A lot don't seem to have a current employer listed except maybe “Works as freelance model/makeup at xxx”

This is bad news. "The corruption" is VERY strong here. Every big city has girls like this, but even the ones I know in Vancouver don't have this many likes or followers.

No wonder they're always on their phones in the club - it's hard work maintaining all this shit. There's a ton of girls who don't seem to have any regular income, yet always are out partying. They aren't paying a penny ever - and who wouldn't want to get free drinks, champagne and dance with their friends and feel like a VIP?

Wednesday I met a local 'insider' that was able to fill in some more details about the Manila scene.
Being a tourist you are going to be targeted specifically as someone to buy bottles. Promoters get a comission on bottles bought - standard - but a smart promoter is going to create an environment to encourage this. Feed you shots early so your judgement is lacking later, fill the VIP with girls who are coached to encourage you to "get drunk and party" and cheers you or "bottoms up!" you so you drink faster. Sprinkle in some light flirting to tease the guys. Get asked to buy champagne "for the girls!" - any guy knows girls love champagne, if I do that, the girls will love me! (Or really think you're a beta chode falling into the trap of buying bottles) Last, fill in the gaps with model guys so the girls don't get bored with bottle chodes.

I don't know if promoters realize that the tourist "dollar" here doesn't really go as far, especially since buying a bottle at the higher end clubs is as expensive as back home.

What's not clear yet is what if anything financially the girls get out of this. There has to be some incentive - they all have newer phones than me, nice outfits, etc.. They don't appear to be the type that would straight up ask the guys for money for sex. That would be fucking awkward the next time seeing them at the club again or getting a table.

Late Wednesday at Time I'm introduced to a girl that turns out lives in the building next to mine. She's cute, and is smiling at me, but I don't pull the trigger. She had a lot of makeup on, but who the fuck cares - I had a boner when I first met her. What's wrong with me?

Thursday Curly invites me to a bunny party at Palladium. She has a table and I'm the only guy with a bunch of girls. I give her my rap on buying bottles. She says it's cool, it's all free.
One of the girls is already drunk but isn't passing the boner test and is failing the drunk girl test (spilling drinks, even her own friends are giving her weird looks..).
One of the girls has the cutest face and dimples ever - but seems a little shy and isn't talking much.

It's not super busy, which is kind of nice. There's a few other dudes standing in the back with drinks but none are approaching.
A lot of girls spend time dancing on the stage which isn't the best as I'd rather be dancing with them on the dance floor!

Before coming I had wanted to check out Icon at Hotel Intercontinental. I go at around 3. You could walk from Palladium but it's about 5 minutes away. I took a taxi. As I get to the entrance I pass 2 pairs of girls leaving. Hmm.
No cover. I walk down the stairs, past the curtain, and it was like a western where you walk into a bar and everyone looks at you - the back few tables are mostly girls and they all turn around and look at me.
Quick glance - the tables are mostly girls. Dirty girls. Fuck. I finish my drink and leave. Who knows if all nights are like this, I'm guessing a more regular scene more like Insomnia in Bangkok.

3 hookers actually want to share a taxi to Time – 2 end up bailing before and going to the red light street, the other is behind me and tries to ask the door to let her in free but they don't (lol).

Dimples comes later, she is kind of drunk. I dance and escalate, she keeps moving away but still looking at me and smiling. I ask her if she's shy and she says yes. She hugs me but won't kiss or dance for more than 5-10 seconds. She goes down to sit with some people I don't know. By this time it's 6 and I'm tired, I leave.
