This story is a bit of a long read but basically the woman, who includes her full name and pictures of her family, writes about her regret for having children. Its hard to gather if she wrote this trying to elicit some type of sympathy from readers. However, after reading this I couldn´t help but feel sympathy for her kids who have a mother who openly discusses how much better her life would be if she never had them.

I do however appreciate her candidness about some of the very real challenges parents face when having kids. It was like a checkbox for my own reasons not to ever have them.

Bringing something like that out in the open probably happened after years of detached parenting so the jury's still out on whether the kids are mentally healthy or not. Author's probably some kind of schizoid.

Not long ago a girl I was swooping told me she "wasn't sure about kids", because she felt she could "give back more to the world" by not having them. She worked in sales. She told me she was looking for a "real relationship" and marriage, however. And she was turning 30. She said she could always change her mind later. I said: "good."

There's no surer way to fuck up a kid than to let it know openly how much you despise its existence. I can't even imagine dealing with that. My parents, aunts and grandparents all cared for me unconditionally, and me them. They made tremendous sacrifices for me, and continue to do so now. There's no question that they wouldn't have it any other way.

I don't know what I'd do if it came to pass that these people not only didn't exist, but were instead replaced by relatives who actually regretted my coming into this world. Knowing that women like this exist (selfish enough to value "spontaneity" over the existence of their own flesh and blood) really makes me appreciate the women in my family (along with other good, family-oriented women out there who love their children), and also softens my attitude towards birth control/abortion. I'm generally quite conservative on that issue, but this is part of the reason why I've moved left on it. These people just shouldn't have offspring, and anything that prevents them from doing so ought to be welcomed.

I predict that those two poor souls this woman birthed are going to have some serious issues. God help them.

To be honest I think she is a voice for many parents... I see my friends who has kids aging super-fast, living a life of everyday logistics and even having a beer with them needs planning. Fucking sad in my opinion, but they would never admit it. They have pretty much disconnected from all their own personal needs/ambition just to survive, and this woman never was comfortable with that.

I am in my 30s...and still don`t have kids on my radar. I simply love my freedom too much, and I`d say not fit to be responsible for another human being 24-7 for 18 years.

Receiving unconditional love is the most critical component for a healthy life as an adult. I don't know if it qualifies her as evil, but she sure as fuck isn't a good person given the 2 lives she hurt so badly.

Why is it that these chicks feel the need to air their shit out in public? 'I hate my kids!' attention whoring is of a significantly different variety than 'going to the club in lingerie' attention whoring.

At least I came to the realization that I will probably never have kids because I will never love anyone as much as I love me before I had kids. It's okay to not want kids (though 99% of women that hold any sexual value do, in fact, want them someday. Nonpareil's Law #869: The women who bleat the loudest about not wanting children are usually the women no one would willingly conceive a child with), but make that decision first; abortions are readily available, after all.

If raising a kid is really that hard, how come so many people are able to do it? I don't buy into this bullshit that raising children is a complex thing. Is there a single mammalian species that hasn't raised its young since the beginning of its existence?

Now if this individual were building lasers or something, then maybe I would understand.

But a kid? Just do your job as a human and raise it with love. Bear the responsibility that you accepted for yourself when you created a human being. Accept that you will miss out on some aspects of life.

Alternatively, hire a nanny.

Yep, that is the right attitude. If it wasn't your bag, lady, don't have a second kid. Fuck! We wonder why there are so many kids on drugs to control behavior; it's because their parents are fucked in the first place.

Look, I have two boys, and I had my first when I was young (just turned 21). It was hard; you make sacrifices. You do go into a different mode as you are focused on rearing the kids, but there are sitters and people that can watch the kids when you need to get out or go away. I have made decisions for career and life that centered around trying to provide for my family. Those were my choices, for better or worse. I made mistakes, but we have a lot of good times. Again, you make choices and sacrifices, but if you can't handle it, don't have a second kid, dipshit.

My boys are growing up as Alphas. My oldest is in the Army and kicking ass, and my youngest is 6'2" in 8th grade and stomping people on the basketball court. I am fiercely proud of both, and I take pride that these two won't be fucked up like these two kids.

This. She's a narcissistic in the true sense of the word. It's a worship of the self and and putting one's own needs and pleasure ahead of anyone else, even your own kids.
