I'm trying to start selling weed. Because I smoke it and its cheaper when you buy by the bulk, its easy money, and its something I want to try, whatever (I'm a college student), and it affords you social opportunities.

Any tips and no-nos?

Grow it yourself, get a license and then sell it. If you are in BC it is easy to do. Plus it will be legal and you get government approved buyers.

Get it fronted. Get a good deal on an o. Bag up .7 s. try to sell to betas and chicks. Try to sell to people who like to buy from you and than smoke you up on what they bought from you right after.

You should at least double up on each pack. So if you get an oz for 300 try to make 600.

A no no would be spotting people bags. Don't spot shit.

Have a stash spot.

I used to cut open tennis balls with little slits an when you squeeze them it opens like a mouth where you can hide things.

Always keep papers or a blunt on you so if you get caught it looks like personal usage.

Dress sharp or like a nerd. Don't dress like a drug dealer stoner.

Try not to talk on the phone but you're pretty small time so it's not going to matter anyway.

Get a girl to hold your pack or keep it in her room.

If someone snitches on you and they come to kick your door down your pack will be safely at your shorties spot.

Keep your bud in a glass jar to keep it from drying out.

Offer deals if it makes you get your shit off quicker. ie, 3 for 50, 5 for 100.

Don't drive with shit in the car while you or other people are smoking.

Don't travel with groups of people in the car with major work on you. Drive alone.

Always keep sports stuff in your car so cops can see it and start a conversation about that.

Last but not least Don't be nervous when making hand to hands. Act like its a normal practice. Sometimes the more obvious the better.

Selling weed isn't a good way to make money, but it can net you bangs and at least cover the expenses you incur for the habit.

Be careful not to get caught, however, as police are vicious on campuses everywhere.

In high school I rolled up single joints, about .4 grams in each. Sell em for 5 each and 5 for 20, best way to turn a profit in my opinion. Then if you can land a good buyer that is buying like 10-20 joints a time you can start selling him bags for a little cheaper. They usually stick around, people generally like having one go to guy so try to make that guy you.

From personal experience only undesirables will want to be your friend. Your better off working at a bar/club/restaurant for socializing and always being stocked for personal use than slinging dime bags in between classes. However if you have the urge then telling you not to will be useless.

I don't know what province you are in so make sure you know how much is considered personal use and know the laws and your rights. In Quebec its 40g so never carry more than that and always scale on spot as it builds a rapport with the client.

Try to use as little baggies as possible (never have them all pre-baggy if you get caught that counts as selling and not possession). If you have a car keep it in the trunk hidden, I know at least in Quebec cops don't search the trunk for some reason.

Most people will tell you to put 0.8 or something and skim people when you can I find its better to be known as the guy who gives good deals than the jipper plus you would want to have customers that are regular smokers or small time pushers which means they probably own scales themselves so if you skim don't expect repeat business.

Marijuana margins are very low so your better off having a few different items at the ready (your in college so people like to experiment. )Try to have a bit of everything or at least know where to get everything.

Don't think of it as easy money. It's a business and like any business you're going to scrape by at first and you have to work to build up a customer base and deal with competition, you have to work your way up the ladder before you have a good steady flow of cash.

If you're selling on foot, keep your baggies in your sock. One foot will have grams ($10) and the other will have half-grams ($5)

This is what the corner boys in my old city used to do. Cops rarely search there, farthest they'll go down is to the ankles.

Otherwise, I agree with weighing it out in front of them. Some custies are cheap and will say you underweighed even if it's 1.2 grams.

If you're growing and decide to wholesale large amounts, find a reasonably anonymous way to get paid and learn to dead-drop. This way, you limit your exposure and there's no way to say you're the one providing the chronic. No connection between money and contraband = no case.

Don't bring your personal cell-phone along to your dead-drops because what the cops and undercovers will do is place several orders and cross-reference that with carriers' GPS records.

Oh, and never keep your stash where you rest at. Get some fake credentials and rent out a respectable storage place. Triple vacuum seal EVERYTHING. Switch burners every month. Consider any anonymity/security expenses as a insurance payment.

Yup at least in my experience. Then again I'm a upper middle class white guy so I guess it can go differently for others haha.

One tactic I heard of from who knows where was this dealer who didn't have a cell phone, he had an old school pager and whenever someone called he would borrow the cell phone of whichever customer he was with to call them back and set up the next meet. I thought that was pretty slick.

Last I heard he got busted with 20-some pounds of Mexican brick weed, one of his customers blew him in and he's in the slammer now. It's all fun and games until you get busted or robbed or your reputation ruined.

Nonpareil got it right. I didn't smoke and enjoyed always having money in my pocket. Houston knows the prices in South Texas so there isn't much to be made but still cool to have a side hustle. Be smart, don't have too much traffic, and know who you are selling to and you will be alright.

1. Social Circle, start with your friend and have them recommend people to you.
2. Diversify. Horse and yay have much higher profit margins and you need fewer customers
3. If you need to go on the internet to get advice on selling weed, you probably shouldn't start, so forget 1 and 2. This is like a girl, a 6, going to yahoo answers to find how to have a one-night stand with any guy in a bar.

Depends on what city you live in.

Here in Vancouver it is incredibly easy to deal, although be mindful of some places where you sell as they might be under control by a gang.
