Yeah, but you have to admit, depending on the location, it's probably in your best interest to hire hot girl bartenders. Men will come back to a bar just to see a hot bar tender. Most women would not do this to see a man. I can't blame these bar owners. I definitely saw it where I worked as well. A large majority of bartenders were women.

Yeah, maybe a little bit, but guys are much hornier than girls. You do have a good point in wanting to attract girls, but overall, you just want clients period. I think at least double the men would go for an attractive girl than a girl going to see an attractive guy.

Personally speaking if I go to a bar and there are both male and female bartenders I'll manuever to avoid the male ones and get the female ones. Why would someone hire a male bartender?

Some random thoughts on bartending:

*Male customers are so thirsty for female attention and validation that they like female bartenders. The odds of me fucking a female bartender during busy times is zero, so she might as well have a dick. No special attention from me.
*Male bartenders are often pricks, and ignore male customers as a rule during busy times.
*The more serious the joint about its drinks, the fewer females there are on staff, and the plainer the females that are there working, and the better the service to male customers.
*Vegas clubs and bars aren't selling themselves on the quality of their drinks, but on status. When it comes to status, hot girl > middle aged dude. No one talks about how good their old fashioned was at XS.

Sign of the times. Even for regular bars, men are more interested in having a hot, possibly mediocre girl serve them than a competent male one. I'd respect that, if the guys had a chance at fucking these girls. But they almost always don't. Guys are just validating attention whoring.

In America, women disdain men to the point where they treat most women far better than they would a comparable man. (They may snark a little more at an 8.5+ woman though.)

You have to admire Vegas. The whole state is lined up behind this industry, and will do everything necessary to protect it. Men usually hook it up more I've come to find though. If it's a joint I'm only going to one or two times, I'll maybe go for the hot girl, but if it's a joint I frequent often I usually try and make friends with the guy bartender. I avoid getting drinks from one of the girl bartenders at my favorite joint here because she is a) a bitch. and b) the guy there hooks me up at least $2 off each drink, if I run up a tab he hooks it up with a couple free, and makes them stiff. I'm pretty good at making friends with bar tenders here. That however, is not a good look for the owner, so this doesn't make a good argument from a business perspective.

i've found the opposite. if you successfully flirt with chick bartenders, they love it and end up hooking you up more because of the validation that you're giving them - free shots, stiffer drinks, etc.

guy bartenders tend to serve the females in the crowd first because they're actions are governed by their dicks rather than good service-orientation. also guy bartenders look at their tip more closely whereas girls just kinda shove it in their pocket or tip jar without looking too closely, so you can get away with giving girls less.

I tip well, maybe that's why the guy bartenders hook me up. I just don't really get hooked up as much from chick bartenders. I used to go to a spot a lot and me and the girl bartender there were cool but she would never hook it up, where one of the dudes that worked there, I would have 6 drinks and pay $20 (Drinks are typically around $10 each). Needless to say I always hooked him a fatty tip, usually at least $20.

Hiring hot girl bartenders is a beta management move that only works in the short term, if even that.
I've seen it firsthand. And it puts more of a burden on the old school bartenders who know their shit, yet have to bail out / cover for chicks who can't/won't pull their weight, all while trying to do their own job.

They really have to be good bartenders first, hot second and all that.

I almost never tip a bartender. I don't care if you are a man or a woman, you are turning around and pushing a button/tap to pour some shit into a glass. You are usually moving no more than 6 feet to do this. The only bartenders I ever tip are at my go to spots for first dates with a girl, as they know me and hook it up each time. And even then it is $1 a drink at most.

But what do I know. I just always have gin and tonics, I go to places that aren't populated by all the club rats and going out rats, and I don't get that drunk - I prefer pussy to getting loaded.

Not a good look dude. Tipping well can help you a lot in the long run. But I guess if you don't go out and drink much then it's not as big of a deal. Just realize that the person making your drinks is only making $4 without tips. The way they make money is tips.

I think it would be better for the bar owner to hire male bar staff, but the owner should have an eye for good game from the males and hire them. Then the male bartenders would spit good game at the females while serving them, and then more females would be drawn in, and if there are more females, it will naturally bring in more males, and hence good business.

I also notice the male bartenders make better drinks and always make my drinks nice and strong. One time he even gave me an extra shot of scotch in my scotch and coke.

Last week one of my local bartenders that I know was pouring me a stiff drink. He was looking at me while pouring to make sure I was seeing how much he put in. He missed the cup for at least half the poor and I let him know it. I think he was pretty faded at the time. Shit cracked me up.

Absolutely. I have been saved by bartenders of both genders for tipping well and I have also had hot girls approach me after watching me consume free shots with the bartender and having a good time. It's a preselector and the bartenders can have your back on occasions when you meet a dooface who wants to cause trouble at the bar (e.g., when you don't move from your spot at the bar because you want to hold onto that real estate because of its ROI on meeting females without having to cold approach). The preselector works better of course when its a hot female bartender.

I'll tip regardless out of courtesy, but I wonder about the ROI of tipping sometimes. If you travel a lot and frequently go to bars that you'll rarely if ever step foot in again, is it worth tipping? To get the bartender to do shots with you and have your back, you're going to have to be laying it on thick, at least at the beginning. Why bother if you're only in the city for the weekend?

Tipping becomes a never-ending arms race. If you're at a venue where people are tipping heavily, then a 25% or 30% tip won't cut it anymore, and it's a slippery slope to throwing away money.

The best solution is to have a moderate level of tipping that applies in most venues and to choose a few spots close to where you live where you grease the bartenders with fat tips and lock them down.

These businesses are going to get killed. Here's why.

Women are biologically only capable of recognizing Alpha males in group settings. So these women will only cater to the top 10 percent of men, ignoring or slighting all the other guys. It'll be like high school. And my feeling is that once the novelty wears off, men will go elsewhere for drinks.

Men on the other hand, are programmed to serve the needs of the many, not the needs of the 10 percent.

I believe in the concept of "situational Alphas," where -- for example -- the nerdy programmed is Alpha when he leads the meetings in his company and blows everyone away with brilliance. But in a bar setting, "Alpha" is determined by looks, money and height, and women are programmed to discriminate even beyond that. Cutting out 90 percent of your customer base is bad business.
