Dude, the article says its a study encompassing 48 different species. This is some scientific shit about animals.

"Researchers at Lund University and the University of Oxford carried out 62 studies across 48 different species including insects, fish, birds and mammals."

I don't think the article even once made specific reference to humans.

Hardly strikes me as dubious research to bolster the feminist agenda. If so, it's a hell of a round-about way of doing it, with a study on 48 species, one of which (may or may not) be humans.

But from an evolutionary perspective, this trait wouldn't be passed down unless this cuckolded men were nevertheless successfully producing and raising their own kids. So it maybe that they sacrifice in making an investment in another man's seed because it's the price they have to pay for having the chance to ever reproduce.

Anyway, I don't find this finding to be very surprising. For all the threads on here extolling the virtues of testosterone, which are many, it's likely that high T men are going to die sooner than their counterparts. Low T cuckolds will outlive us.

I bet you anything this has to do with the fact that guys with higher testosterone are more impulsive/violent and therefore more likely to die earlier. On the average numbers, they burn brighter when they are alive by banging many more women (and probably going raw most of the time), and then fizzle out by dying earlier whether it be from engaging in more risky activities or the cumulative effects on their body of a lifetime of doing whatever the hell they want.

From an evolutionary perspective, it's still a winning strategy with all the progeny produced.

The kinds of males most likely to get cuckolded are also the ones with no choice but to stick around due to lack of options. This is not human specific.

As for humans, lower-T men will live longer than high-T men, and will also be more tolerant of getting cuckolded.

Wow, so the entire article is a total bunch of shit. The original research claims taking care of offspring isn't bad IF it doesn't harm your chances for future reproductive success.

The research is therefore good, but the article itself is trash. It twists words in order to make a sensationalist story and headline. The entire article is all bullshit, and not just of the feminist kind. Reader beware.

Quite possibly true. But then cutting off your nuts and serving them to guests with A1 sauce will probably also make you live longer. You know, no testosterone.

That's really what the study is saying. Men with lower testosterone live longer than men with higher testosterone. Just like women live longer than men.
