We had a gay rugby player on the team. He wasn't a huge flamer or a deadbeat player so it wasn't an issue. He probably scored a fourth of our tries and was faster than nearly everybody else on the team despite indulging a pack a day habit. The effectiveness of our backs have suffered since he has left. I have had other gay friends and they were all cool.

I think that the biggest problem here is that the gay rights movement was hijacked by feminists and lesbians so every little gay accomplishment becomes some kind of victory against the patriarchy. This is unconscionable considering that nobody in the entire history of mankind ever gave much of a shit about lesbianism. It was permitted in Nazi Germany, and all the very conservative Islamic dudes I have talked to overseas thought (in their words) that women getting it on with each other was "awesome", even in the case of fairly ugly bulldykes, while gay men should get imprisoned or murdered. I don't like that gay men have allied themselves with feminists but we haven't given them a lot of other options. Feminists in turn have used gay men as a weapon against regular men, shaming their squeamishness with accusations of latent homosexuality and insecurity and touting their progressive viewpoints with their supposed tolerance. Now you get feminist hipsters who are so "secure in their masculinity" that they dress up like giant fags and have no issues tooling straight guys by touching or groping them. It's sickening.

I don't like how this dynamic works and think that we should adopt male homosexuality (but not flaming faggotry) as an aspect of masculinity ("The Way of Men", "Fight Club", and tons of other great pro-masculinity books were written by gay men). A lot of badass gladiators and Alexander the Great were gay. I think that a big aspect of masculinity is appreciating competence and ignoring the unimportant details, so if this guy is a good (or great) football player, isn't a flaming sissy, and can behave normally in the locker rooms then he should be allowed to compete without issue. Otherwise, much like how a guy who sucks at life is called a pussy, this guy is a faggot.

Not so terribly long ago, men fucked each other casually and no one really pigeonholed them in any specific group.

It stands to reason that it became immoral because men were less dependant on women for their sexual needs and society needed men to work to provide for their families (the wife being the sexual outlet).

Gay people and gay right activists or whatever they're called don't seem to understand that the majority of people don't want to hear about their orientation or "lifestyle". They could care less about what you're doing behind closed doors. It annoys me when these people start saying you have a problem or something is wrong with you if you don't 100% accept them though. I can't understand how or why a straight man would stick up for these groups and shame you if you're not backing up the gays.

What's happening is the media right now is in a feeding frenzy over gay issues. They are clutching at any little thing that might push gay tolerance is front line news. And it's at a relentless fever pitch. They are totally trying to turn this into 1965 Montgomery, Alabama. Difference is, whites were hanging blacks from trees and making them drink from separate water fountains. In 2013 nobody really gives a fuck about what gays do in their bedroom anymore.

I like to think that the political parties long ago figured out that they can screw everyone else longer and harder if they constantly jerk us around a couple different issues. Issues such as abortion, gay rights, immigration laws, gun control policies, and decriminalization of drugs could have been figured out long, long ago and forgotten about already if they didn't have any incentive to grind on those issues for the last couple decades and drastically increase the size of the government in the process.

There's an incentive to support feminism in the government because feminism wants to replace the husband of the nuclear family unit with the government, which naturally increases government size, revenue, and jobs because the government has more responsibility with all the social programs and the blatant fucking over of men in the judicial system. They also get to employ all those worthless majors with government jobs and the cycle continues.

Here's a thought experiment to give to your liberal friends. Ask them this:

"Do you have any preference that your child be born straight? Of course I realize that you would be completely accepting if your kid were born gay, but if you could choose, would you have any preference to have a straight kid?"

A good liberal will say something like, "I don't care! What does it matter?"

I think what divides liberals from conservatives when you scratch the surface is that they feel that homosexuality is normal, natural and healthy. That nature intended for some to be gay and some to be straight and no sexual orientation is any preferable than the other. It is 100% equal to heterosexuality. The fact that penis and penis don't fit together has no bearing. It's about how you "feel" inside. Conservatives tend to come from a position that something is wrong with gays. Either mentally wrong, morally wrong or biologically wrong. That it is definitely not NORMAL or desirable behavior. Something we may tolerate, but not promote as equal in every way to heterosexuality. Now I wouldn't say it's morally wrong. In some cases it may be mentally wrong such as extreme feminists that decide to become lesbians because they hate men so much. I think a case can be made that is biologically wrong. Research seems to be leading to the conclusion that homosexuality is caused by too much estrogen in the uterus during pregnancy. Women that take diet pills for example are more likely to have gay kids as it fucks with their estrogen levels. Lesbians are produced when a female gets under the amount of estrogen she needs.

At some point in the future modern medicine may be able to correct estrogen levels in the womb and eradicate homosexuality. I bet the liberals will throw a hissy fit over it and compare it to Nazi eugenics.

Gay rights are being pushed in a kind of full-court press by the media right now. If Rip Van Winkle had fallen asleep just ten years ago and had woken up now, he'd be fucking flabbergasted that every sitcom and romantic comedy not only has gay characters, but gay protagonists who are "married" and have adopted kids. He'd be surprised that suddenly fag jokes were equivalent to using the n word. Of course we don't have to imagine such a scenario because many men returning from abroad in Asia, Eastern Europe, or Latin America will experience such a revelation upon returning stateside.

Homosexuality is being used as a battering ram to emasculate men in this country and to eviscerate traditional gender roles.

In a way, we might invite the successful conclusion of the farcical gay civil rights era of the 2000's. If the original civil rights era is any precedent, the issue will die down to some extent once gay marriage is constitutionally protected and the Republican Party jettisons any residual opposition to the normalization of homosexuality.
