I didn't see a thread here suggesting a new goal or "complex" for Roosh.
Give Me a Complex

Roosh is editing/publishing other writers' work at Return of Kings. But he needs a new full-time project based on his science/game/travel/writing experience. I'll toss out a few ideas.

1) Workshops. Roosh's successful workshops were interrupted by his travels. They say you haven't mastered something until you can teach it. I would be particularly interested in whether Roosh can accumulate scientific evidence concerning the efficacy of game. Theoretically, if guys just went out and experimented on their own, how much worse would they do than men who conciously implemented game principles?

2) Date Lab. I enjoy Roosh's dissection of the Date Lab column. Unfortunately the original columns are probably copyright. It's too bad, because otherewise he could write a book called "30 Bad Dates". I wonder whether he could get a mainstream newspaper dating column analyzing Date Lab, or something similiar. The challenge is to get mainstream dissemination of his work.

3) Women-focused. Roosh offered to help Toronto women become more feminine. I wonder whether he could actually help large numbers of women become more attractive. This would help everybody. It would seem really easy IF he could get women to listen.

Honestly, I think RoK is his latest complex. It's clear he wants to build a site that will provide value to men with the truths and wisdom on which this forum stands. The biggest question is not whether he can provide it, but if there's a mass appetite for it.

Roosh should become a fiction writer. Redpill fiction is sorely needed. He already has non-fiction redpill writing down, now all he needs to do is expand his skill to fiction writing.

Roosh should write the "Great American Redpill Novel."

Yeah - I feel sorry for people that don't have an ongoing passion.

I have spent tens of thousands of hours over the past 17 years studying sleight-of-hand magic. I think I would be pretty depressed if I didn't have an all-consuming passion which helped me fill the day, so to speak.

It seems as if Roosh is getting to the stage where he senses a void in his life where 'game' used to be.

Maybe it it is time to stop playing a finite game. And instead search out an infinite one...

I agree with what Roosh says. It is hard to find motivation when you don't care about money, status, looks or acclaim.

Good luck in your search, Roosh. If nothing else you can just kick back and read more books. A fun avenue to explore is the 2500 years of western philosophy that has being written.

I think it would be cool see Roosh take an active role in promoting masculine ideas and combating feminism in the media. A more academic-style book that talks about the damage feminism has done to society and men could be another project. Combine the two and Roosh can generate more media attention for himself and spread red pill ideas promoting his book with television appearances like he did in Ukraine.

If he starts to do more media appearances though it is absolutely crucial he put some serious work into how he appears on camera. It really takes a lot of practice to come across well on camera when you're being put on the spot under all that pressure. Media people work for YEARS to develop an effortless ease in front of the camera, and nail down their posture, body language, vocal tone, volume and clarity. For example, next time you watch television, take note of the pros, the guys who are really experienced on camera. Look at how they carry themselves, how they stand. Listen to the inflection in their voices. Make a mental note of how often you hear them saying "Ummm..." or "You know" while speaking (almost never). Then contrast this with a guest or interviewee who is less experienced. Look at their posture and vocal tone. Notice how often they "umm" and "you know" and how this makes them appear much less confident and knowledgeable than the host.

This is "media game" and would be a requirement to appear as well as possible on television. Roosh, if you decide to start doing more media appearances I would advise you to consider working with an acting and vocal coach to help with this stuff. And also start recording yourself on video just practicing speaking, then watch the videos and pick out your flaws so you can eliminate them. Just like game, a little bit of knowledge and effort on this front goes a long way, and will make you come across much better on camera. Television is a shallow medium and your posture and voice matter just as much as the content of what you're saying if you want to appear confident and knowledgeable to viewers.

One of the smoothest and most natural guys on television is Ryan Seacrest. He's somewhat effeminate, but he's accumulated so much time in front of the camera that he almost always appears totally at ease, even when he's on the spot himself being interviewed. Note in these videos how he has a good mix between appearing relaxed and excited, how he modulates his voice for emphasis, how he animates his facial expressions to match what he's saying, how he is comfortable and natural using his hands, etc...

Roosh wrote in his review of My Uncle Oswald that it was probably the funniest book he ever read, and that he hopes to write a fiction book half as good in his life.

I think you are all missing the point somewhat. He never asked for what direction to take as in hitting the weight room but more the reason behind it. He was asking people to pick up on something about him that would give him a complex and would thus drive him to use that energy that the complex would stir to motivate to change and achieve something. Without the complex it would be hard for him to motivate himself to achieve as much.

So now tell him your answers. He should write a novel as some suggested why? Because his writing sucks balls? If so tell him. He should take up MMA why? Because you think he looks like a sissy fag? That's what he wants you to tell him. Give him a complex. Well...? OP you go first. What do you think is the most Beta fucked up thing about Roosh? He wants you to tell him.

BJJ and MMA satisfy the need for a complex. Once you begin to explore how to dominate another person hand-to-hand, it ends up becoming its own wormhole down which to travel. It also, if you're doing it with the right mentality, exercises your soul and inner calm more than anything else.

Having an insecurity or complex about something is a great motivator. I always just tell myself that I need to improve, constant improvement is the name of the game. I want to improve everyday!

First, it was basketball, I had to work everyday and get better.
Then, it was boxing, I had to train everyday and get better.
Now, it's day game, I have to work everyday.

I understand Roosh's point.

RoK is going to be like Maxim magazine was for the 1990's, but online and for red pill guys of our time. There is a bright future in that blog. So that is an on going project for Roosh.

As for a complex, I think a great one is to break the red pill philosophy into the mainstream actively rather than passively. Roosh could work on a movie script. A real red pill script that shows the life trajectory of red vs. blue pill for men. Something raw that doesn't leave the audience feeling good but demonstrates what actually happens in life. Something like the movie Crash or American Beauty. In fact, I think Roosh and Roissy would make a great writing team if all the HBD bullshit is omitted (by Roissy).

There are bound to be some red pill guys in Hollywood who would be interested in producing it, and a good case for selling the script is the joint traffic of the websites, blogs, and book sales.
