Black leadership in America has ZERO credibility. Black leadership continue to cry as victims as the self-destructing system imposed on them continues to send Black America in to the abyss. Nobody wants to ask why young Black men are stuck in a quagmire of violence, why the Black family continues to be fractured and fucked up, nobody wants to ask why a Black man in America has a better chance begin dead or in jail before 21 then in University. Only thing the Black establishment wants is for people to continue feeling sorry for them. Fuking sick of it.

The tides will turn when poor hispancs leave Black Americans in the dust as far as income and education metrics go which is probably only 10 years away from fully happening. These people whom for a generation where literally at the bottom simply exploited avenues they could and have positioned themselves to eclipse black America as the dominate Political minority group. Once this happens rest assured the Democrats will dump Black America by the waste side and look to prop up and buy the support of the Hispanic American contingent.

There are definitely government interventions in the marketplace(war on drugs, minimum wage, child support/alimony racket, subsidies of corn and soybeans) that negatively affect black people disproportionately. If I were dictator for a day I would repeal these and a host of other laws on the books. That being said the constant cries of racism and denying all responsibility for actions on the part of the black run news organizations and black individuals is absolutely out of control. White people in general are getting more and more fed up with this nonsense and this article is a symptom of that. Can anyone really imagine it being published in a major publication in the 90s?

Jesse Jackson is in Detroit protesting the appointment of an Emergency Financial Manager who happens to be a black man. This doesn't get as much press about him because it doesn't fit into mainstream media's(CNN, MSNBC) depiction of him as an ambulance chaser. Also, Al Sharpton preached at my church last September about the upcoming election and self-determination. Mainstream media intensifies coverage of their actions when it involves "ambulance chasing", but barely mentions these guys when they go to help self-determination.

Also, lets pretend that all white people are all salt of the Earth and that there are no predominately white towns that have high crime stats.

I remember reading that during the 50's, the decade right before the huge increases in welfare and no/fault divorce*, Blacks only had about a 10% illegitmacy rate: better than Whites at the time. The bulk of Blacks were religious, conservative Christians and very family and community-oriented. Under racism and many other hardships, and without much government-help, Blacks depended on eachother and cared much more for one another.

Drug and alcohol problems? Same rate as Whites, more or less. Which is actually remarkable because the average Black's life was a lot tougher.

Maybe the most amazing thing was that in the 50's, the Black/White Pay Gap was significantly lower. In other words, now, Blacks earn a good deal LESS in relation to Whites.

Now? 70% illegitamcy rate. Rampant drug and violence.

This is what happens when Big Daddy, Marxist government steps in: Fathers and the Church are both replaced. Throw money at the single moms, reward rampant promiscuity and irresponsibility.

It's actually tragic. But now all of American society is following suit. Every year, more and more of us, White, Black, Asian, whatever, are becoming welfare/entitlement queens. Just as the government wants it. One could call it Soft Slavery.

One thing about the bolded part. We spit game every chance we get. I dont know what it is. Probably the way we grow up. The reason why we are always on the hunt. I've grown up a military brat, so I been around all cultures/backgrounds. I didn't move into a black area until New Orleans in '95 and notice the difference in culture. The difference in how black people game. The aggression is unique to black culture or just "hood" culture in general. LA mexicans are the same way.

Maybe callin women on the street "beautiful" or "sweetie" is a sign of thirstiness. I haven't decide on that yet but all I know is women love that shit. It puts a smile on their face when you tell them that. Now in the East coast or South, women probably hear that shit all day but whenever I travel aboard or just anywhere in general where the thirst or game isn't strong in the city women enjoy that compliment.

The old style Democrats of the past are now in the far right-wing of the Republican party. I often hear that it's liberalism/welfare/socialism that destroyed the black community, but I don't believe for a second that libertarianism will be usher in an era of black success. I think you guys are also presenting a VERY sugar-picture of black American poverty in the past. All you need to do is look at black poverty rates by decade and they were FAR worse in the 50s than now. Look at this for example:

As for the original article, I haven't finished reading it but get the gist of what they're saying. I've been to Philly a few times and think it's really fucking ghetto. I mean I can walk around Leimert Park(a black area) in Los Angeles and feel like I'm not looking over my shoulder constantly. In Philly, you are always watching your back. I was born in that region though I'm rarely on the east coast. I know what it's like to drive through these inner-city neighborhoods and see neighborhood after neighborhood of rowhouses with dudes standing on the porch in the middle of the day not working, slanging dope, and women walking around with kids by different dads. It's pretty sickening and it's basically just a cultural and economic dead-zone in America. Unfortunately though, many people don't realize that most blacks in America don't live in the hood and are not hoodrats. And it saddens me that black is automatically equated to ghetto, even though the majority of blacks are actually middle-class.
