This girl I banged on Sunday is engaged to a guy who lives in Ukraine. She said that in Russia/Ukraine they aren't focused on the future and making plans like we are in the US. The reason being that things used to be so bleak, now they have a culture of just living for the moment.

Whereas in the states, we are constantly holding out for a better future (eg. working hard now so you can live it up in retirement, not enjoying the pleasures of life so that you can get in to heaven when you die, etc.)

Understand that this is prime time, mainstream TV. It is the Ukrainian version of "America's got talent." I've watched it many times with my girlfriend's parents and grandparents.

Ukrainians generally have dark hair, so blondes are often dyed, a lot of the eyelashes are fake ("it's totally normally" as they said on Roosh's show) and the eyebrows are often painted on.
