I've been taking some public speaking classes.
This is some corny Mystery Method style advice but what helps is to memorize your speech to the point where you can focus on connecting with the audience and delivery.
I learned this from ad libbing some shitty speeches and watching the one or two guys who seemed like naturals but actually just practiced a hell of a lot. Adopting that has been kind of a challenge but it's a learning experience.

Also, that potato peeler guy is a boss. Thanks for sharing.
