Guys,
You'd better withdraw all your money from the banks. A bank run can start any minute. The poor Cypriote guys didn't have that chance. By the way, about 100,000 Russians have moved to Cyprus in the last 20 years. That means that there are thousands of gorgeous Russian skinny blondes laying on Cyprus beaches waiting to be rescued from Hell.

For background, this is just the Cypriot bankers doing crazy gambles with the money, losing it, and the Germans refusing to give them a full bailout. Instead they're going to bail out 90% or so.

The Germans initially wanted a 40% haircut on the Cypriot banks, which would have been substantial...but they agreed to about a 10% haircut in the end.

Something similar happened to the US when FDR came to take everyone's gold or risk imprisonment.

In the US they'll probably mess with the tax rates on IRA/401k accounts before they tax savings.

Civil war will happen in Greece. It is very close.It will be a very bloody one a battle of extinction.Golden Dawn is at 15% and radical communists on the rise so the two extremes are going to clash when the middle disappears alltogether.

I could point to a hundred articles "predicting" an exit of one of the smaller countries and subsequent EU collapse, written (primarily by American and English publications) during the last 5 years.

I could point to a thousand articles "predicting" the collapse of the US dollar and hyperinflation.

I could also point to a thousand articles "predicting" peak oil and the end of civilization as we know it.

Let me know when it actually happens. I'm not holding my breath.
