Ghetto Body Armor Test!

Jackass let's his homey shoot him in the vest with a .32 caliber pistol. Look at the injury. That's called back face signature. I don't know what the rating was on this particular vest, but I shudder to think what would happen with a round with some steam on it like the Remington SXT .230 grain + P round. I've seen ballistic test where it deformed ballistic clay covered with a bullet resistant vest 37mm. 40- 44 mm can be problematic or fatal to the wearer.

The vest only catches the bullet and disperses some of the energy of a larger area. They're actually quite adept at stopping .45ACP rounds, but you're still likely to get a broken rib or two.
