We broke the story ... the 30-year-old rapper was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. Tuesday night after suffering multiple seizures. He was released Wednesday but just hours later one of his bodyguards found him in his room, on the floor and unconscious.

Wayne was rushed to the hospital again, but this time he did not stabilize. He was taken to ICU, where he was placed in restraints because he was shaking uncontrollably.

We're told Wayne is currently "unstable," and has been placed in an induced coma. He is breathing through tubes.

Lots of professional across industries, including doctors and lawyers, suffer seizures, usually not from recreational Molly use, but from stress, which can lead to sleepless nights and unusual sleep patterns

It seems like sour grapes to say, "I wouldn't want that," but that amount of money/fame is in a way a curse. You get everything all at once. Simple pleasures don't bring you pleasure anymore.

Lil Wayne really can't rap very well when he isn't on lean/drugs. He got a lot of support when he quit sipping on lean and taking other drugs but his music definitely suffered (anyone listen to Dedication 4? Straight up trash). He still has some great songs and it would be a loss to the music world if he died. Young Money rappers get a lot of hate on these forums.

I don't know, man. Not sure if you can compare genocide with the death of a celeb who is dying from drugs (he's in the hospital because he went on another sizzurp binge). With genocide, you can obviously sympathize but it's hard to feel the same for a rich spoiled celebrity (he has a well-documented history of douchebag behaviour as well). This is not to say I want him to die but I can certainly see MikeCF's point. Just shrug.

Lil Wayne is slightly above average. The overall quality of rap lyricism, imo has plummeted and in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king. All this songs are this weird stream-of-consciousness style where he strings together a few couplets and punchlines.

"Hate" is most overused term in the hip-hop community. It's used to b/c the user can't think of a rational way to rebut a criticism so they have to reframe the criticism as not having a place in objective reality. Maybe people don't like them b/c they're weak rappers? Hot beats give songs a short shelf life.

Drake is #2 on YMCMB but Common bodied him with subliminal bars. Cory Guns is cool but they industry doesn't know how to market East Coast rappers anymore. Ergo Weezy is Young Money, as he goes, they all go.

Lil Wayne is a different type of rapper. He tells a lot of story and has a lot of meaning in his earlier songs, but one of Weezy's talents is how he can dissect the beat. I consider his flow to be pretty original and he certainly changed rap in terms of the stretches people are willing to take while rhyming.

For example, I think he was one of the first to mispronounce words during a rhyme then correct himself while connecting the correction to another rhyme. One of my favorite rhymes of his is on this song, it's pretty creative to make a rhyme about an actual conversation you can imagine having with a girl.

Legitimate criticism is, "I don't like his music," or "He isn't a good rapper, in my opinion," not "I don't care if he dies and neither should you."

Common wasn't very subliminal. In my opinion Drakes verse on Stay Schemin' was one of the best verses I've heard by Drizzy.

Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga have all built up pretty solid fanbases even without Weezy. I doubt their careers would suffer too much if he passed.

That isn't the attitude that got him all the money in the first place. Ignoring all other characteristics of his life, I admire his work ethic.
