Each year the CN Tower is lit up Purple for International Womens Day:




The irony is that the CN tower was constructed as phallic symbol of Canadian short lived dominance in the 70's by CN Rail. Then later with the completion of the Skydome Stadium the big 'cock and balls' was complete as a way of saying "go get fucked" to the world:



It was constructed, built, and envisioned all by men whom believed Canada would become a giant amongst the world and wanted to prove it. I celebrated by cruising into work, making myself 6 eggs, 4 strips of bacon, a pot of green tea, and training some new staff (since I fired the two that were about to get into a knife fight)

Not once have I thought about women, and I probably won't for the rest of the day.

My girl told me that she "felt awful" that she didn't get any flowers and all of her friends did (mostly from Beta orbiters, not boyfriends). Funny how saving the money so that we can actually see each other and do something fun counts for nothing, but that's the tremendous power of female status-whoring*, eh?

In Ukraine, the holiday is all about flowers, chocolates and celebrating femininity and the traditional contributions of women as mothers and wives.

I bought my girl some roses, drank a bottle of Brachetto sparkling wine. Then I banged her until she passes out after thanking me for a proper celebration.

They also have men's day in February. On that day we also fucked until we passed out.

Interesting to see the US feminists try to co-opt this holiday.
