Hello all, I'll be in Vancouver for about a year studying, my student's visa does not allow me to work, but I am sure I will need some extra cash. Does any one on here have any ideas about what I could do to generate some income without a work permit. I wont do any porn related stuff or advertise for any porn websites or anything like that. All other suggestions are welcomed.

Yeah, work online. Offer a service writing or designing websites, or slap together some affiliate sites. Other valuable services are social media marketing and creating powerpoints. If it's going to be a while before you take off, you've got some time to teach yourself a new skill if needed.

are you sure that you are not allowed to work? I was staying in Canada on a student visa before, and I could have worked on campus if i wanted to. After 6 month I could have also applied for an off-campus work visa which would allow me to work 20 hours/week off campus

My school doesn't part take in the employment program for foreigners. It is also stated on the permit that I am not allowed to work.
