Yes, first time I saw there a sky which was not blue but between green and yellow. However once inside the center you forget about it.I suppose the Breznev statue in the central square helps (he was born in Dnipropetrovsk).Be prepared however to have some presents in hand or on row since as girls there informed me every successful relationship has to start with a nice present.
Disco Labyrinth is a sure bet once you have paid your duty to the workers savior Breznev. Also to be aware that this city was closed to all foreigners during SU so it is a privilege to enjoy it.

Where did you find this statistics of amount of students per city in Poland?

I found out from friends in passing conversation, so had the opinion formed in my mind. Then once i found out i was going there (Katowice) in early summer i did some 2 minute research on google. Wikipedia helps.

For example, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katowice#Demographics - the education sector.

Am i going to vouch for the information on wiki? No.

Poland sounds pretty good. Do any of you guys know how it might pan out for a more mature guy like me in my mid-forties...I am hoping to spend a month or two mid December to end of January. I know winter is not the best time to visit but this the only chance I will have for a long while.

I am quite an outgoing guy with next to no fear of approaching beautiful women and being charismatic and interesting and escalating sexually. I am of middle-eastern origin but could easily pass for a few Mediterranean nationalities.

Any city/accommodation recommendations would also be appreciated.
