Ultra quick gratification ... ultra short attention spans... ultra inability to forge original ideas.

I took 5min to look into how it started. Its based of a Baauer song in which people just dance stupid to it. That's it really. But due to the Twitter/viral culture it has become a worldwide trend in less then a week.

The irony is that the song by Baauer is hella old and people slept on it for a long fuking time. I think I posted it on my FB page ages ago and nobody cared to listen to it much... now... evreybody knows about it and its their Favourite song but when I played it for these people back then they did not like it.

People point to how viral trends are a GOOD thing but I tend to differ as this hyperculture will inevitably hit a brick wall soon enough when people will copy some guy drinking anti-freeze or something, or rush into doing something complete of the rails and dumb.

Props to Baauer because each newscast that broadcasts a video that has his song in it gets him money. Other then that its just another dumb trend, these things come so quick now I miss a lot of them.
