GridTO is a weekly Alternative media rag here in the City - and aside from buckwheat cupcake reviews, and fat lesbian roller derby stories from time to time GridTO will take a crack at some real stories. Being Valentine's week and with a host of blue balls and dry vaginas littering Downtown, GridTO tries to take a stab at why Toronto is a barren wasteland when it comes to hooking up:

The question is, why? What is it about Torontonians—or Toronto itself—that makes it so unlikely to get hit on offline, out in the public sphere?....
