I was thinking something to that effect; think of the shitty infrastructure in New Orleans. You'd think that they had six+ years after a natural disaster to rebuild and put in new wiring, etc. but nope.

I believe Football in general is in decline; too much head injuries and the next five-ten years when the lawsuits stack up and the playing rules change such that the game becomes an infantilized version of itself people will simply tune out.

Yea its really telling that the Power goes off in arguably one of the biggest events on the globe. America's grid is held together with tape and glue so I am not surprised. It would just be interesting to know what ends up being the cause of the blowout. Was it the Halftime show blowing the boxes or just generally overuse in the area at one point in time.

No way. Football (i.e. Soccer) World Cup is the biggest event by miles. And not far behind it are the European Cup, the Champions League and the FA Cup.

The reason these are so followed because South America and Africa all play lots of soccer and their players are poached by the European Clubs - same reason NHL is followed in Eastern Europe.

This must be some sort of American propaganda you have bitten. Nobody cares about your superbowl outside America.

The rest of the world is far more interested in the real football. You know the one where you kick the ball with your feet - hence the name - football. The worlds cup in football is what the world likes to see outside of Olympics.

American football and baseball are two sports artificially kept popular in America, while pretty much no one around the world is interested in them, they are fringe sports. Therefore Americans appear to be totally dominating these sports and this rises the national pride.

I didn't mean to insult anyones patriotic feelings, but if you consider yourself a red pill person then you must realize that American culture is pulling wool over the eyes of its citizens in more ways then just pushing feminism and shaming marrying foreign wives. There are tons of other subtle methods.
