I am starting to take an interest in watches. I have never really worn one, and do not know anything about them. I am looking for recommendations (I have done the whole google image search) for interesting, masculine watches. I am not a big fan of gold (yellow) watches, and NO plastic ones. I like the kind where you can see a ton of gears. I like some with contrast, like a dark grey frame with a cobalt blue face, but really, I am open to a plethora of suggestions. Are there any watch connoisseurs out there that can point me into the right direction? Price is a bit flexible but I would like to keep it around 500 USD if possible. Of course cheaper is fine too, as long as it is quality.

There's been a couple of different threads on watches so search if you haven't already.

For $500, basically just find something you like. You don't really need "advice" until you start getting up over $3k or so. Try looking around here: http://www.princetonwatches.com/index.asp
