Has anybody here had a DNA test made? Apart from getting to know your ancestry, telling you how much Neanderthal there is in you, findingn distant relatives overseas or if you are related to any historical personality or opening your way to a good college or politics Elizabeth Cherokee Warren way; they are said to be excellent providers of info on food alergies, probabilities to suffer from some conditions etc which can help you make changes in your diet or start preventive treatments against that dissease we are likely to suffer in the future. Experiences, thoughts, companies you recommend or should be avoided?

There are a gazillion companies offering genetic related services (including the paternity test), the most reliable looking ones are this from the USA: https://www.23andme.com and this from Switzerland: http://www.igenea.com/es/ Of course you can also take the one from Natgeo: http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/ngs/b...de=MR20936 Prices vary, the swiss company offers prices from 79 € to 799 € depending on the info you are looking for, 23 goes for 99 USD and NG 199 USD.

I assume you purchased their test at some point; satisfied with the information they gave you? Would you recommend it?

When I read the thread title my mind went right to paternity testing.

No kidding, caucasians and asians have up to 5% of Neanderthal adn in them. Looks like ancient homo sapiens were true player banging anything they found on their way

Paternity testing is out of discussion, every men should have it made for his own sake.
