How likely are you to live to 100? Interesting chart.
It's well known there's a serious problem facing today generation and the several that follow: aging populations i.e. demographic winter. This excellent video was posted on RoK some time ago:
I've got two grandpas and a grandma that are still alive. One grandpa is 100, other is 96, grandma is 96 too I think. They definitely beat some odds, but look at the following article and chart:
I knew that demographic winter is a major issue, but the extent never really hit me until I looked at this chart.
What I take from this chart is we need to drastically re-think our concept of retirement age and "The Golden Years".
People in our generation will need to work much later and start collecting social security benefits at 72 instead of 62. There's gonna be a whole hell of a lot of crotchety old people wandering around. And just because people live longer doesn't necessarily imply that their health will extend as well. I think we'll still see people develop degenerative diseases at the same ages, they'll just live with them longer.
Some existence. We'll have a society of old farts with bad knees, bad backs, and bad insides complaining nonstop and leeching massive amounts of resources.
Me? I'll be doing squats til I'm 70 and retired in a jungle bungalow with my harem of southeast asian princesses.

if you want an idea of an old age society go to southern europe and japan where the median age is 40. people need to save their own money and take care of their bodies-.expecting the government to save you is going to be less likely as governments across the world grow more bankrupt. the best example is the bloated state pensions which are no where near sustainable and as states deficits grow citizens will vote to cut their fat early retirements.

You can hardly claim that either of those articles "debunk" anything, they simply provide a liberal rebuttal. There may be a conservative agenda behind the Demographic Winter video, but the one thing you can't fuck with is data.
The movie may have come to some conclusions that are open to debate, but by all appearances it looks like the data and numbers are solid.
You first link makes no mention of birth or death rates; only increasing population. This was never a matter of debate; the movie openly shows our current population boom, including birth and death rates.
The fact remains that birth rates are plummeting, and in some countries, populations are starting to decrease. Everyone's welcome to come to their own conclusions, but I don't see any positive ramifications for my generation or the ones to follow.
And anyone that thinks that immigration concerns are simply a "conservative" invention should talk to normal, every day French people right now with moderate political beliefs. French citizens, liberal, conservative, and everything in between, are none too happy right now...

According to the chart I have an 18.2% chance of seeing 100, while the women my age have a 25.3% chance. I'm not counting on it, though - none of my grandparents made it through their sixties.
What I will count on is seeing the government reaching into my pockets to pay for our burgeoning elderly population.
