A lot of guys say they wouldn't do it. I personally would if I had the right connections for the business.

Think about it...

- You are always sexually satisfied, as it's part of your job. Actually get to relax when you get home and not be consumed with focusing on your next notch.

- Access to beautiful women 24/7.

- Don't spend the majority of your free time on weekends scrambling through your phone or POF looking for a new date.

- Don't have to spend money on drinks/dinner on women, which never guarantees anything to begin with.

- You're the envy of millions of men out there.

- Society may judge you, but no one will ever feel bad for you (the way they might for a single computer programmer)...you are getting the one thing consistently every man wants. Beautiful women.

Besides the fact it appears sleazy to society, there's really nothing bad about it. I actually think most guys could do it as well. It's always made to sound like some difficult line of work by those in the porn industry, but I think a lot of that is just to make it sound halfway legitimate.

Any thoughts?

1. You can't come to quickly.
2. You need to carry a very sizable package.
3. Need to get hard and stay hard on demand.
4. Much porn is not with hot women.

6. Diseases.

You make some good points. Not only that though, you get to hit raw in most scenes. The only downside is you won't be taken seriously in society, they'll look at you like a sleazeball etc. But if your the type of guy to get into porn you probably don't care what others think of you anyway.

If you are actually able to create and sell your own content then many of the aforementioned downsides can be removed.
The questions then are a) can you attract those reputable porn hotties you want and convince them to work with you (not easy), b) how well can you market yourself and c) can you afford to produce quality content?

Few can give the right answer to those questions, and most will have to deal with the downsides mentioned above (i.e. the camera crew).

A LOT of guys in porn are not players. That's why they got into porn in the first place, because they can't get chicks. And not a whole lot generally changes in most of them. The top talent for male pornstars who you're probably most familiar with (Tommy Gunn, Erik Everhard, etc) aren't really representative of most of the guys who get into the porn industry. Even with them the girls they wind up with outside of the porn shoots they do are porn sluts, because those are generally the only ones who could comprehend a LTR with someone who openly fucks fucks fucks.

Plus, guys get paid maybe $300/shoot, and work 5-10 shoots a week. For LA that money is nothing.

That being said, and I've thought about this, you're best way in is to start a little porn site yourself. Go to ladirectmodels, hire girls for a few shoots, and that way you can have your own camera crew your comfortable with. Oh...you need some capital for this. Then hopefully Brazzers will pick you up. A better example of a "role model" (and I use that term sparingly) is Porno Dan. I kind of knew him in person a few years ago and I fucking hated him, but if you could take him he was a fun-loving party guy and he brought that to his sleezy sites. Google him.

This is basically what Evan Seinfeld from Biohazard did to become Spyder, but he also had the advantage of marrying tera patrick and so accordingly had a lot of the industry connects to get top talent right off the bat.

I won't lie I've thought about it before, just because I am a lazy guy who wants to "live outside the box" and not get stuck in the 9-5 world of mainstream society, and more importantly if you are working for the best companies you will be fucking 8+ talent and getting paid for it (obvious). I know porn guys don't get paid too much, so the sex is the main draw. I think if shit hits the fan for me, I may try to keep this as an ace in my back pocket as far as fallback plans go.

Obviously there are a ton of downside which sixsix summed up very well. For me the biggest negatives are the fact that it will make getting any sort of "legitimate" job extremely difficult, as soon as a company or employer finds out they either won't hire you or will try to fire you. Mainstream society which I don't care for, but still live in, will always shame you for being a "sleezeball", that means having to try to hide it from family members, etc. Building off that more importantly, I think it will cause a lot of desirable women to disqualify you as a potential mate, and I'll admit that I could see myself wanting a serious LTR in 10 or 15 years. Finally, probably the most important thing that would freak me out is the risk for STD's especially HIV, I know the pornstars get tested but it can take up to 3 months for HIV to show up on tests, so just because a girl doesn't have it at the time of being tested doesn't mean she doesn't actually have it, who knows who she fucks outside porn. I know something like 15 porn stars have caught HIV and spread it on set in the past couple years.

The OP has a very glamorized image of the porn industry.

Being a porn performer is actually hard work believe it or not. And the pay for men is pretty shitty unless you are at the top of the industry. It's not something every dude can do. You have to be able to perform often for hours on end with a bunch of strangers standing around watching. You may have multiple shoots in one day. It doesn't matter if you already fucked for 3 hours and came twice. The next shoot expects you to leave her face looking like a glazed donut. That's why some porn the guy can barely get a few drops out when he finishes. He's probably busted 3x that day. You have to be able to last for literally hours when most guys can't hold their nut past 15 minutes. If they want you to lick some nasty whore's ass crack or herpes-infected pussy you have to do it.

And then these guys in between sets are constantly having to look for work. As you can imagine there's stiff(no pun intended) competition among men to perform with top girls. Many guys end up starting with being gay for pay.

This is not a job for players or alpha males. It's a job for the soulless. How the hell do you have sex all day for work and then make a division between sex for work and sex for pleasure? Many of these people are in relationships or marriages(usually with other porn performers). How do they separate work from pleasure. It's not as easy as you may think. Not a job I'd ever want.

I believe all the HIV transmissions in porn have been from man to women. I'm not aware of any case where a male performer caught it from a woman. But obviously you can be exposed to a ton of other shit that's nasty. I've heard Hep D is awful and the treatment will leave you sicker than the disease.
