I really hope that Tinder starts using some kind of matching algorithm.

In NYC there are so many girls that the odds of a girl you like seeing your pic is slim.

Soup, they absolutely use a matching algorithm. I went somewhere new this weekend and swiped a bunch of chicks upon arrival with no matches. Obviously because my picture couldn't have been shown to chicks if the app didn't know where I was. Over the course of 24 hours I got a lot of notifications of new matches as they swiped me. Then when I swiped a day or so later, boom, 7 of the first 10 were instant matches with it drying up after. The girls who I hadn't seen before but had swiped me were the first to come up. Makes sense.

May need to try out different pics it sounds like if your not matching

That was my exact experience with tinder this past weekend as well. They all seemed like legit girls(I've had a lot of spam girls on tinder) too. Was on a tight schedule so I didn't meet up with any though.

I changed my age to 28 from 36 and now I'm getting hits.

I was on Tinder and not getting anywhere, so I changed my age thru my facebook account so now it says I'm 28 and I'm getting hits. I've never had trouble pulling younger girls in person because I dont look 36 but having it online is like a scarlet letter

Tinder is a little frustrating as it gives you almost zero control. It's too much "sit back and wait" style of dating. Has anyone in the London area THIS MONTH been getting matches? As the only successful Londoners who have had matches were earlier in the year. Has it dried up in this area?

More of an informative post than anything regarding game: Tinder has come out with two releases in the past 10 days or so (for Android, at least.) One of their fixes was miscellaneous improvements, but the other one's top item was "Fixed a bug where dates were being incorrectly referenced" (paraphrased.)

In layman's terms: they had a bug on their server (or their client) that was preventing the correct date you last looked to populate, which meant you got a crap-ton of blank search results. This is fixed, so now you should be seeing results (more often, if there are any valid search results.)

That's why I don't update my apps. They start getting too big and laggy.

After getting a match, if you're really interested in the girl, I suggest adding her on facebook after a few back and forths in the chat. Not only it allows you to see other photos of her (there are plenty of SIFs on Tinder), but it also takes the interaction a bit deeper, separating yourself from the horny guys that are messaging her on the chat app. Then ask her out after a few back and forths on Facebook chat.

Cool idea.

It adds an unnecessary extra step though.

The more time between first contact and first bang, the less likely it is to happen.

Make contact, get the digits, get the meet up.

Ideally, you want to run something like soups game from earlier in the thread. It's not always possible, but what's that old adage "shoot for the stars, something something... "
