Anyone have an issue with tinder not finding anyone around? Apparently it's a glitch
It says there's no matches/anyone to swipe in your area
Anyone using Tinder in the LI/NYC area? I find the activity to be dead as a doornail.

Edited due to identifying info.
i think tinder stocks itself with girls that aren't real. too many girls 21-24 who are hot but have nothing in common with me. for example everyone in DC has "liked" the 9:30 club page because you get updates that way, or "365 things to do in dc" or "breaking bad" or "arrested development"
so when there are endless 22 year olds who are hot but have nothing in common and no friends in common, they can't be real
i've also seen the same chicks a couple of times even after i swipe them.
that being said, i get three or four matches a day and have had good success texting them and have met the one that i wanted to meet.
have another meet up tomorrow
Tinder has been very good for me since I started 2 weeks ago. I live in a major metro area with high feminism. I do go on 'fastrack dates' with tinder matches. I haven't done the 'come on over and fuck me approach' as described upthread.
- I get about a dozen new matches a day, many are hideous but there is a 7+ in it every day
- about half respond to my chat
- about half of chats get me a number
- most numbers turn into dates though some girls have cancelled on me an hour before
- I try to find a unique date location and always push for the kiss around 45-60 minutes
- got several make outs and two bangs
- girls I had so far were really into sex, more than other leads I usually gather (day game mostly)
I have about a dozen numbers I had no chance to set up a date for yet.
Tinder is almost too easy and it makes daygame and going out at night a waste of time...just kidding !
Downloaded this a few days ago. Logistics are bad for me: 35 years old, 100 miles away from a large city, so I don't even show up on most girls' radars. Got a handful of matches, got two chicks on the hook, but I'd have to travel to bang.
I'd say at least 75% of the profiles I've seen yesterday and today have been fake. I discovered this by starting to actually look at the tagline for them; how many 20 year old dimes out there would actually put a line like "looking for a fuck buddy" on this thing? According to Tinder, a hundred, but in reality, none.
Will report if I get any action, but I'm not holding my breath as it is. If I find myself traveling for other reasons the app might be useful.
Anyone getting the there's no one around you glitch
Even put the range to 100+ mi

Tinder seems out of place on a game forum. There's not really any game to it - it's hot or not. If you look hot you get matches, if you don't then you don't. A guy I play ball with was showing me his matches - he was scrolling, scrolling, scrolling on his phone all the matches he had. Must have been hundreds. I was a little stunned after my lack of success with the app. However, he is a good looking guy and much younger - college age kid. Guy like that doesn't need game. He can just send a "sup?" message to his matches and follow up with lets get coffee or lets grab a drink.

While it's admittedly easier than with other dates - game still helps to actually close Tinder leads. You really need to be damn good looking to succeed with the 'come on over and fuck me approach' with a 7+ girl even on Tinder...

You need looks to bait the girl, you need game to close the girl.
At times my tinder game blows and I can't get the conversation going.

Perhaps Tindr limits the matches you get in a day so you won't run out in one try.
Sort of the same way POF and OKC limit the people you can message per day.

Tinder is a free app that connects men with hot young girls in their neighborhoods. Of course it belongs here.
Regarding your lack of success with Tinder, have you had professional pictures taken yet? Do your pictures demonstrate your high value to girls?
If you answered no, then you're going to miss out. Because that's what guys successful with Tinder are doing, and you are competing directly against them.
If you have professional pictures and still aren't getting results, then yeah maybe it's not the app for you, but don't sweat it.
am having hits with Tinder but girls are EXTREMELY flakey compared to Cupid where am having more than decent success with it.
perhaps it's the age think, I feel that if you are above 30 (even 25) then Tinder might be a bit of an uphill battle...those are my impressions so far...but dem girls are suuuuure cute there.
Any Tinder tips (besides having an awesome profile pic)?

Maybe that's why I haven't been getting matches...I thought it might be my old fucked up smartphone and it not being compatible with the app that well..
Anyone got an older version of it on their iPhone with iOS 5.1? I cant install the new one and dont wish to update to iOS 6 right now.
WHAT HAPPENED TO TINDER?!?!
I used to get a couple matches a day - I wouldn't swipe many girls, but the ones who swiped me always came first, so I'd just swipe til the matches stopped coming. However, I haven't gotten a single match in a couple days now. I know they also just updated their app.
Is anyone else having this problem? Do I need to start swiping girls en masse to start getting matches now?

Use Tinder in NYC, still pretty good but full of fatties and ugly chics now. The party is over.
Got the new iPhone on Friday, and Tinder does not work on IOS 7.1. Crashes all the time, freezes out, etc. Surprised how slow these guys are in rolling out updates and bug fixes, probably losing thousands of people a day now. I predict this thing will implode.
Tinder is like all startups, just a fad.
Little tip for tall guys: You MUST put your height as your first line in your tiny profile comment section. If you are 5'10+ just put 6'. I believe this must be a huge boost in my matches.
Gotten 3 dates, 2 bangs, and 1 inches away from bang, girls that want to meet up from Tinder are always horny in my experience this is an advantage over slow play dating sites.
Bangs:
6.5 26 yo
5.0 25 yo -she was a genuinely fun chick and had good weed if she was a 7+ I could see mini-relationshiping her, otherwise below 6.5 is usually off my radar these days.
Lots of 7+ match me and will reply to first messages, but too tough getting the conversation going, I think you have to ask them what they are doing that night or the next night point blank. I've pointed out funny things in their photos with laugh replies, leads to nothing.
Any tips on getting the 7+'s to meet? They are matching and some are messaging... so I figure I pass the photo test...
Example I just matched an 8.0 ... and not a bot ad, this is such a cock tease.
Lines that have worked on getting an initial reply back from 7+s:
"live near x?" (my city, county)
"you must be part/half (ethnicity or nationality)"
"what are you doing tonight?"
- funny comment about their photos
I'm in NYC and I'd say about half are 7s and higher. I still haven't banged anyone from Tinder though.

I'm 100% confident Tinder has changed their app somehow. I still haven't gotten any matches despite getting a steady trickle daily before the update.
Tinder front-ends people that use the App more. For example, if you get 10 matches but don't message anyone, you get moved way down. But if you're actively engaging people you match with, referring the app to your friends, etc., then they bump you up and you get more matches. You've got to open the app and use it a few times a day for best results.

Really? From what I've heard and experienced it's the opposite. When I initially got Tinder I didn't get any matches for a while. I didn't use it for about 10 days or so when I returned home and checked it the first dozen or so girls I saw had already "Liked" me (I believe it puts girls that have already liked you to the front). I'm going to try and check it no more than once a week to see if I have any luck with that. If not, I'll check it more often. Your logic does make sense though as if you're actively using/promoting the App, that benefits them and they should reward you; it just hasn't been the case for me.
Also, I think Tinder is definitely losing stream. It was something girls could just use to a.) Meet good looking guys to hook up with or b.) Stroke their egos.
I just can't see girls constantly checking Tinder month after month. Girls are approached all the time, if they're hot why bother with Tinder?
Tinder will stick around for some time I think.
Lots of girls I met aren't really being approached because they work crazy hours NOT because they are ugly. I met CEOs and law firm partners at age 33.
Also it gives girls more control in the selection of guys. Ie you are an Asian girl but like white guys tinder makes that happen easier than being hit on by dozens if Asian dudes...
It's also more efficient in getting a bang for girls as normal dating rules don't apply and ASD are taken down a bit...

Installed this app last night and worked on it for a few hours. Got three matches already, but they aren't of the highest quality (not sure if I would take them on a date based on their looks alone). I still need to spend a couple more days on this app to see the kind of matches that I'm getting, before actually starting to message the girls.
Some hilarious finds: an ex co-worker (swiped "like", still no match) and a girl I've dated a couple of years ago (swiped "nope").
