I'm wondering if these things still hold true about columbia and how this compares to other countries in latam, like Dominican Republic, Peru, and Mexico?

Silicone- More fake breasts than any city in the United States. Really adds to the overall ambiance.

Had a completely different experience so far. But then that's not exactly how I enjoy myself (hookers, drugs and casinos...)

There are a few backpacker idiots though who are just here to get fucked up. From what I've heard from them, the prices still seem to be accurate, maybe a little more expensive.

Unless you want to pay for your bangs, do not expect much action for the amount of work you'll have to put in.

Yes. If hookers and blow is your thing then I can't think of a better place to be than Colombia, its probably been like this for years and will likely never change, it doesn't matter how many gringos come and go, domestic consumption is quite strong. Most of the customers at these strip clubs are Colombian, its funny watching these guys dance salsa and making out with hookers and strippers. Often times when I went I would be the only gringo in the joint. I went to strip clubs in both Medellin and Bogota and think the scene in the capital was better although they're both quite similar.

I've actually had some really good times in Colombia strip clubs, here's some stories from times I've had in the "zona de tolerencia" in Bogota:

-At some strip clubs, at midnight they ring a bell and any member from the audience can get up on stage, strap on a condom and fuck one of the strippers in front of the entire crowd (for free), if they do, they get a free pint of run or arguadiente.

-There's usually tons of strippers and freelance hookers who go bar to bar in Santa Fe, they are all available for 50K a pop, sometimes less at 30K. You take them upstairs to a room for 15-20 minutes, a maid gives you a rubber and a towel. Some of these joints actually have turnstiles at the top of the stairs.

-You can buy a gram of coke for 10K, usually from a bar tender but if not then one of the waiters will get it for you, generally you have to buy a drink first to get your booger sugar. If for some strange reason you can't score inside the bar, just step outside and ask on of the cigarette/gum vendors on the side walk.

-Beer is surprisingly cheap at most place, around 2500-3000

-People openly consume blow in the "zona de tolerencia", you'll see guys doing key loads and bumps of the back of their hands in the bars, the restroom will be littered with empty baggies.

-There's loads of hookers on the streets, most just hanging out in front of hotels, to bang them you pay the hotel 10K for a half hour then negotiate a price with the hooker.

As you can imagine, the seedy side of any Colombian city is quite seedy, you'll see child prostitutes, glue sniffers and tons of riff raff all over the place. A night out in a place like Santa Fe can be really fun if you go out with a few guys to see the freak show but I strongly suggest that you go with some locals, DON'T GO THERE ALONE AT NIGHT, and if you're crazy enough to do so, take a taxi directly to a strip club and once you leave, jump right into a taxi, don't roam around there at night.

If any of you on here want to go to Santa Fe and need some Colombians to take you there, just PM me, I know plenty of bilingual Colombians who will help you out for the cost of a few beers.

good post scotian. yes santa fe is very dangerous..if u go get taxi straight to door and straight outside door of joint. u DO NOT want to be walking around those streets at night.

good coke is more like 10/20 dollars. the stuff u buy on the street is crap generally speaking.

those hookers that are 20/30 dollars are generally speaking pigs. the hotties cost alot more
