Complementing is often called a "beta" style of game. When in reality it's quite deadly if you complement a girl the right way.

Complementing a girl, per se, is not the issue. In fact, it can score you bonus points for charm. There is just a wrong way to do it, and a right way. (As a general rule, always do things from a position of strength or leverage, not weakness).

How? Simple.

Look them directly in their eyes and mean it sincerely.

Watching Russell Brand work will teach you more than basically any PUA video. Christ. Seven minutes and there wasn't a dry set of panties left in the studio.

Brand's a king because contrast is king. He A) seems totally in control and B) doesn't seem the type to compliment girls out of need, or even want. He doesn't have to use compliments, which makes him and the nice things he says way more valuable.
