As of now, the results are this:

When do you prefer to be hit on?

Only 9% of girls said they wouldn't want to get cold approached in any situation. If the people who voted in this poll were all regular posters on Jezebel I'm sure the percentage would be more like 95% considering all the comments I see on there about "street harassment" and the like. My own experiences doing cold approaches have shown me that even when a girl wasn't into me for whatever reason, the vast majority of the time they are either neutral about being approached or actually felt good that a guy went out of their way to step up to them. This might drive feminists crazy but the fact is that the vast majority of females WANT to be desired and even "objectified" (ie. being seen as sexually attractive) and that most of the girls that you ever hit on will not mind the fact that you are hitting on them unless you are blatantly running bad game. When girls complain about being hit on they really are complaining about having bad game run on them; NOT that someone is running game on them.

I'll admit - actually saw this article as posted on Jezebel. Of course the author of the Jezebel article had to rationalize away why the majority of women voted that they wouldn't mind being approached by saying that girls who read Cosmo are a different breed of women (ie. not a harpy)
