In this article, a 30 something woman tries out online dating for the first time. Lots of and to be found.

Here's her experience after she filled out her profile.

Then that sounded depressing, so I finally wrote: ‘I like watching nature documentaries and eating pastries.’ From then on I was flooded with suggestions of YouTube videos of endangered species and recommendations for pain au chocolat.

Don't worry about game techniques becoming less effective because the masses know about them. Thirsty simps still take women at their word, even ones who've been around the block.

I understand her frustration though. It's the same feeling I get when I see a bunch of chubby girls entering a fast food joint.

She's self aware enough to know that she's in it for the attention more than anything. But life's sad for her. A man who's probably not a vegetarian didn't respond to a wink. She clicked an icon and the lack of a response to it upset her.

She has no idea about what it takes to be a man. I bet she didn't reply to a lot of those dudes who obediently sent her youtube clips.

In her defense, just not being fat is such an enormous premium on female value nowadays that I have no doubt that she will eventually find a willing Beta. It only depends on her criteria and whether she will "settle", but candidates are aplenty!

Most women online think a wink is enough. Most won't initiate at all - they're there to sit back and wait for the attention. Just like off-line, they believe that it's a man's job to approach them, and they don't ever want to appear desperate, even though they're supposedly independent, strong women. She probably felt that wink was a major undertaking. She probably said to herself, "I've done my part, now the rest is on YOU."

All told, she is surprisingly honest. She still needs to be more aggressive, because she's not hot enough to sit back and expect to be lavished with attention.

Haha. That's how it is. They get used to their looks doing all of the leg work when they were younger and now that theyve faded theyre stuck not actually knowing what to do or how to act right.

She's cute enough for 30, but I don't think I could be with any woman who would use the words "agglomerative" and "Pynchonian" in a puff piece, quotes obscure New York essayists in a dating profile, and whose mission in life seems to be to prove how smart and cultured she is.

It would help with the narrative that she is a high-value women who failed to attract attention from men who offer the same level of value.

Her article would be a lot less precious if it turned out that she was just an old hag with a face for radio.

It just isn't as much fun to bitch "Where have all the good men gone?" without the essential "highly desirable woman" to make a strong case for the argument that a woman's failure to find love being totally not her fault and clearly rooted in a lack of worthwhile men to frantically pursue her.

Usually, these claims work best when anonymous female victims are described (attractive, success), because if we were to try to advance the narrative with real women, it might be necessary to resort to the use of photographs from the years where they might actually have had a chance at landing a man of acceptable appearance, social establishment and financial standing.

It's not like feminists have ever let the truth stand in the way of a victim complex.

Hell, Jane Austen was already peddling this trash hundreds of years ago. She wrote stupid story after stupid story committed to the premise that it doesn't matter how bad a woman f***s up, she still deserves and will receive a desirable romantic conclusion.

She had to write under a pen name, because back then men had balls and already knew that anything a woman would write would be garbage anyway. The disease of her story themes still affect women today. Naturally, she never married. Dumb bitch.

Today, in light of all the single "attractive, successful" women all about, there really is only one retort.

"THERE MUST BE A LACK OF DESIRABLE MEN WHO HAVE GOTTEN THEIR ACT TOGETHER, STOPPED PLAYING VIDEO GAMES, MADE MILLIONS ON THE STOCK MARKET, DEVELOPED HOLLYWOOD ACTOR QUALITY LOOKS, AND A PERSONALITY TO SUIT!"

My gran would've been a hundred this past week had she not pass 5 years ago and i know for a fact that she'd not be the same rustic, reliable, pragmatic and logical person that i adore if she grew up in these times.
