Rainbow Argentinian city with snow for christmas.
Hi guys

I just got an idea. And instead of wasting my time googling I thought I'd ask you guys ^^

I'm flying down to Buenos Aires next week, and staying in Argentina over the holidays.

I need a pig, a kitchen and snow to get me in the christmas cheer.

Where should I go guys?

Before you ask why I would want snow in latin america.

I am from a snowy land, and I am travelling for 2 years in latin america. I guess 2 weeks in the snow won't kill me..

I'd hate to break this to you, but if you go to Argentina next week, you will be arriving at the beginning of the summer season. Canada, not Argentina, is a place where you can find snow in the month of December. Snow generally begins to fall in parts of Argentina in mid-May. If you decide to go to Argentina during the Argentine winter, which is May to September, you may be able to see snow in the ski resort city of San Carlos de Bariloche, often referred to as Bariloche.

Yeah I know it's summer there now, but they have a lot of mountains.

There's got to be some snow there right?

RE: Argentinian city with snow for christmas.
The Province of Mendoza is pretty mountainous and has some ski resorts. Two of the ski resorts which come to mind are Las Lenas and Penitentes. The reason why I bring up Mendoza is that other posters have spoken pretty highly of the city of Mendoza, which is not terribly far from the ski resorts I mentioned. Bariloche is located in the Province of Rio Negro which is further south in Argentina than Mendoza. I cannot say in which of the two provinces I mentioned you would have a greater chance of seeing snow in the month of December. Hopefully other posters can chime in.
