I got my feet on the ground in Cartagena and I will posting about my brief adventure shortly. If there is anything anyone wants to know just shoot while I am here to do the footwork.

Here are my initial thoughts and impressions. First let me tell you a bit about myself so you can understand my point of reference. I am in my mid 30's from the NYC metro area, not bad looking of Italian decent, good Spanish skills. I have been gaming since I even knew what it was. Not until I stumbled upon some sites did I even give much thought to the art of getting pussy. That being said, I am definitely running out of steam and wouldn't mind settling down at some point. I know, I know.... a younger me would smack those words out of my mouth before they could be spoken.

For the purpose of any price quotes in this thread the current exchange rate is approximately 18,023 pesos to the dollar.

Flight: Jetblue JFK to CTG non-stop. There is also non-stop service from FLL to CTG via Spirit. Personally I think Spirit is shit, a small step up from a flying bus. But if you are flying from south Florida, then it is probably your best bet.

Cartagena: 2nd visit. The city itself has beautiful architecture in the old city or Centro. Plenty to see while chasing pussy. The city streets are packed with women for you to street game. I was opening with asking about info for buses to Barranquilla. This was actually info I did need since I am currently in Barranquilla but it served me well after I had the appropriate info. Nightlife is plenty but you will run into many women who are on the clock and English speaking Colombian men who will want to be you "guide" for anything you may need.

The weather is FUCKING hot. Well actually it's the humidity that is down right oppressive. In Barranquilla right now it is the same temp as Cartagena but much more tolerable due to the lower humidity and constant breezes.

My accommodations were a small studio in Centro on one of the busiest streets. I had a balcony which was perfect for scooping out the action. There was also a large supermarket (Exito) at the end of my block which served many purposes. Minutes for my local cellphone, cash from the ATM, beers for the fridge, and a meeting point for girls. You can also stay in Bocagrande which I did last trip. But after staying in Centro I would say that logistics and ease of getting girls back to the room makes Centro my choice hands down.

The beach is shit. It is ugly with black sand and vendors pestering you constantly to buy their trinkets. That being said I did spend an afternoon there with a girl just to pass the day and get some much need sun on my pasty New York face.

One of the places to see is Plaza Santo Domingo. It is the most famous plaza with overpriced restaurants with cute waitresses, but good for people watching. Another good area is buy the clock tower. A good pre-gaming place is called Donde Fidel. It is a salsa bar that has some tables outside. Right next door is Tu Candela. Tu Candela is a cool little cave like bar that gets a good mix of tourists, Colombians on vacation and hookers. Babar is also a very good bar with a lounge feel. It gets a good looking crowd also with a the same mix of Colombians on vacation and Pros.

The Women There are definitely plenty of fuckable women everywhere. Is the place crawling with 10's? Not at all. I would definitely describe them as good looking Dominicans but not as dark on average. Their most common shade was more of a ruddy color due to the mixture with indian.

They are very open and easy to start a conversation with. You can get numbers everywhere and eye fucking is at a premium. All that being said, something about their attitudes rub me the wrong way. I would make the generalization that the majority are pretty annoying and opinionated. This was probably because I found it hard to close in the sack at times. In hindsight I can attribute that to my back story. You are not just on vacation. You are here for some sort of biz research and will be returning very frequently in the near future.

I will be adding more observations as I get time. I am currently back in Cartagena after 3 days in Barranquilla. I was going to go to Santa Marta but my plans have changed.

I just want to make a quick comment about the costena's spanish.... It is at times impossible to understand. I consider my spanish skills very good and at times I have no idea what these people are saying. On top of that they have no idea what I am trying to tell them. I thought Cuban and Dominican Spanish was hard to decipher, but Colombian costena Spanish takes the cake.

I also want to draw some more comparisons between the DR and the Colombian north coast in my next posts.
