Still, statistically speaking, I think having two mothers or two fathers gives the kid better odds than just a single mother or father. One gender is already missing no matter how you look at it so you can't do any worse, and two parents means double the resources and care. But this is an interesting case, although I wouldn't yet judge from it.

p.s. someone who has a Reddit account ask him what his love life looks like. I'm interested in how Beta/Omega he is with those views, but I could be mistaken.

That is just so bizarre. What is this cisgender, pansexual shit? Invented by people who have the time to complicate everything and have never heard of Occam's Razor. When the power eventually goes out it will be refreshing to see the natural order of things come roaring back with a vengeance and those GLBT textbooks will be useful for making a fire and keeping warm.

I'm not a hater, live and let live, do whatever you want but don't shove it in my face and especially don't try and knock me down because you need to justify how you want to live. The quotes Samseau put up really explain how far these whackos will go to fulfill their agenda at any cost.

This whole cis-gendered thing is a term they borrowed from chemistry actually. In certain chemical compounds, if two substituents are on the same side of the compound gets a cis- designation, and if they are on opposite sides (of a bond typically) they get a trans-designation. So I think cisgendered means you identify inside with your outside gender.

It's funny that the acronym GLBT gets bandied about by them and makes it seem like it's all one big happy family, but in reality I think there is a lot of animosity between the various groups (i.e. the "B" get no respect, followed by the "T"s).

There are a lot of other crazy ideas people have, like multiples. I get the distinct impression that you don't get the more extreme sorts of craziness in less Western societies.

God, Reddit is a nightmare. Every time I see a thread, the topic alone is cringeworthy. Then I see the weird internet nerd omega male humor, and I start to think that the entire world is like that. The parents influence is only part of what the kid sees. There are friends, there are books, movies, peers and so on. Unless he lived locked in this trailer for 18 years surrounded only by females, there is no way he couldn't see those social cues.

To me this looks like a classic American "I've became fat because my parents didn't love me enough".

The "studies" coming out of American universities that don't concern the hard sciences are bordering on fraudulent.

They have their end goal in mind (abortions are great, gays are great, multiculturialism is great, feminism is great, etc.) and then go on designing a flimsy survey study that "proves" it. The irony is that millenials are being enslaved by student loans which go to the departments that put out this tripe. They're getting bent over twice.

There are libraries in the school and in the city. There are movies on TV. And they let you into the cinema even if you don't have friends with you. And I haven't seen anyone in my life who'd have NO friends, even the most retarded/weird people have friends - sure, they're weird too, but they do have them.

What you described would only be possible if he was homeschooled, but in this case he'd be fucked up anyway.

This is not true. America isn't Scandinavia, here we have a strong religious lobby, which is also VERY rich. There is a bunch Christian universities. Even if there weren't, the studies aren't that expensive, and if organizations like NOM can spend millions on anti-gay-marriage political ads, they could definitely afford $50K for a study. And they know they need those studies, as they played the vital role in several landmark court cases. So the opposition is definitely here, and it is definitely not underrepresented. But where are their studies?

Even if they didn't, those studies were published in peer-reviewed journals. Unless you believe ALL scientists are following the same political agenda, if the studies were rigged, other scientists would be quick to point the failures out. The scientific community is pretty good in self-moderating.

I have only one answer to that - they have done the studies (after all, they aren't idiots, they hire experienced political consultants for god's sake), and the studies showed the same result as the published studies. So they threw them away and never acknowledged them. And this is why they do not dispute the published studies.

Not to mention it doesn't really apply here, as no study said EVERY child who grew up with same-sex parents would do great. Some same-sex parents would be shitty parents, but this ain't different from the opposite-sex parents, some of whom would also be shitty parents.
