While I am a fan of her ass, I can't say the same about her and her music. She's put an album out every year since 2009 and has been ubiquitous during this time. Normally an artist will take a year off to record new shit, so the general public won't get tired. I'm still hearing songs from her last album, and there's a new one coming soon.

I'm fucking sick of her songs now. I never was big into her music, but at least I could tolerate it. The bitches love her shit, but can't the record industry find some new hottie? It's not like Rihanna's some great singer. I'm sure there are girls with equal talents (singing and ass) out there. But Rihanna keeps selling, so it's going to be a while until I can get a break.

Everyone used to be on Lady Gaga's dick. And it's happened a lot for pop stars. Eventually, they'll chill out and hit a wall.

Just relax and adapt to whatever shit she spews out. That's what the Pokemon do! Mainstream music is terrible, but you can't treat music like how ya treat these wild Pokemon out here. You might think Rihanna's music quality is a 0. But in most clubs, wild Pokemon get even wilder when Rihanna is blasted because she's a 10 in their minds.

Because you gotta give her some props even though Chris Brown floyded (floyd mayweather reference) her, she still makes music for the hoes to dance and get horny to. And that's what we need. Music to make it easier to capture (fuck/game) these Pokemon. (women)

But I understand your situation. In order to keep your sanity, find a genre of music thats non-mainstream that you like as well while still having a respect for the mainstream music. So, whatever song plays you can get a little groove whenever played.

She's a below average singer but: She moves units everytime she drops an album, her songs get spins on the radio(her publishers are getting paid) she a constant source of stories for the tabloids(sells magazines and gets ad revenue for gossip sites). She makes money for alot of people who want to keep putting her out there.

If her sales decline or she runs out of gimmicks, expect her to go to acting, reality TV, or fashion

Taking a break for artists is a thing of the past.

The new school of music management knows that most popular culture today has a very limited shelf life because of the accessbility of the next big thing.

That is why they absolutely saturate you with a particular artist until you just can't absorb anymore. If Rihanna took a long break, she would be utterly replaced. Look at Britney Spears - she 'took a break' and before you know it, Rihanna and Lady Gaga are all over the place, and Britney is feeding from the redundant scraps of the reality tv circuit.

welcome to the world of pop-culture. Every piece of shit artist they regurgitate on commercial radio all sound the same. That horrible fusion of electro-pop, anthem shitty vocals. Hearing any rihanna/gaga/guetta et al at a club is like being raped in the ears. Just plug in your own mixtapes and steer clear of places who play this trash.

I'm sure there's a direct correlation to intellect and enjoying these types of music.

If she was to give it up to you right now, you would not be thinking about her attractive qualities.

Today's marketing playbook, at least for female pop stars, is to keep you out there until the public says they don't want to see/hear you. THEN you take the break, reinvent, and come back again with new, slightly different material (if the artist is capable of pulling off the change). As Goldin Boy stated above, a lot of people get paid off of her. In fact, she's ALREADY been in a major studio film ("Battleship"), which is pretty much what they do with any famous, non-actor entertainer today, especially if you're an attractive female. And despite the supposed forehead issue, Rihanna is FINE by my standards.

Rhianna is okay to me, you see much better women from/in the Caribbean. I grew up around Caribbean women and there are plenty of them in Toronto so Rhianna is not exceptional. I'll give her 5.5 out of 10.
