if your iphone is using a verizon Sim card in the usa then it is running on the cdma network and wont work in DR, which uses GSM.

IF you go to an Orange shop you can buy a cheap NOKIA for 1000 pesos. so whenever you go back you can use it again.

Someone trys to use it and the door trys to shut and the elevator shakes and moves and this awful grinding noise happens and the lights go out. The girl is FREAKING OUT.
