I live in the SF Bay Area and it's one of the most feminist area's in the country. The American version of Sweden (lots of butch looking girls, short hair, dirty, unapologetic, tatted up etc). Basically the exact opposite of SoCal (hot chicks, beaches, sunny weather year round etc).

I'm curious how do players navigate the waters in hostile territory here?

Avoid them completely. Get the opportunity to travel for work and date in Asia and Eastern Europe.

Whatever it is you're doing, change it. You've managed to self-select your way into a pocket of ugly women who are not the ordinary for the area.

You need to find your niche, you need to know where to go, and when. Which, again, depends on what are your values, and what are you looking for. Once you figure out how to work around the ugly girls and oversupply of guys, you'll be doing fairly well.

Every area has its weaknesses and strengths. Bay Area is pretty cool unless you're only interested in slim blondes with huge tits (in which case you're screwed). Yeah it's not the top notch looking, and there are like five guys for each girl. However think of that:

- There's a lot of Asian and Hispanic girls too who're really digging white guys. So if you're into them, your job becomes a little easier.

- There may be a lot of guys around, but they will not approach, and generally are not willing to put any effort. It is pretty common to spend the whole evening in a bar and see only few guys approaching a girl they don't know already. It is very funny to watch the social dynamics of the place, when a group of cute student girls come in, and see the place being full of guys. They put the bitch shields on, and turn into the "approach me if you dare" mode. Then for two hours they're sitting at their table or dancing alone, with nobody even trying to talk to them. You can really see how the bitch shield is converted to desperation.

- There's no such thing as some celebrity appears at the place and steals your date or screws your effort because the attention focus moves from you.

Watch out though. All you need to do to win is to put more effort than other guy, and when other guys don't put any effort at all, this means you need very little effort. This makes you lazy - more and more often I find myself rejecting a chick just because she didn't throw herself on me hard enough. Don't get like that.

Dude, just make the move down south. I was at the beach yesterday, in the 80s in November. I'd never seen so many hot girls with banging beach bodies laying out on the sand around here like I did yesterday. Especially on a Monday. Black, white, Latina, Asian, they were all representing. There's no comparison between down here and up there.

Oakland girls are mad slutty if you they think you're "cool."

Avoid girls in groups; they are brutal and will blow you out for fun. One-on-one is better because there's less of a reason for them to front in front of their friends that they are ice-cold and tough.

But yeah, I'd move somewhere like SF or Berkeley where they're more approachable.

Yeah, fake hipster "cool".

They are also slutty if you look like you have money. When I wear nice shirts, pants etc I get loads more IOI's (no matter where I am). This goes doubly for SF girls. Contrary to popular belief and despite appearances, Bay Area chicks love money. But not if you attempt to "hide" it. Most rich dudes up here try to act modest about their wealth (wearing hoodies, flip flops, cheap jeans, looking like a poor hipster etc). That's gotten real old.

My advice is if you have money here, show out a bit (nice watches, suits, shirts, cars etc). Like I said it's the opposite of socal, but girls have'nt experienced the trappings of wealth as much here, so its a novelty to them.

Your right, Berkeley has got some pretty good talent and it's a whole hell of a lot better than Oakland. Which is actually surprising. SF ofcourse too.

Maybe I'll scrounge together some coins and move to LA. But it's not too bad. I'm not white (I'm black) btw.
