How do you meet women if you almost zero social life & almost no friends? I’m of Indian heritage but born and raised in UK, now living in Los Angeles. Late 30’s 5’10”, 180lb.

I came here for grad school but most of my friends from then have left town or are married or settled down.

I have a Taiwanese lady who I screw occasionally, she’s fallen for me hard, I told her I’m not looking for anything but she texts me all the time and asks comes up to my place to “hang out”. She’s got a very unattractive face but a great body and big natural boobs. I close my eyes when I kiss her!

So what do I do to meet women? I drink, I’m fine going to bars and lounges but I hate nightclubs. I’m not an anti-social person, I just have a lack of friends so I never go! I don’t really go out much at all. I occasionally meet ex-classmates for beers from university, say once every 3-4 months, but they’re not super close friends. There’s no guy I know that I can hang out with every week.

I never approach women ever, I’m very shy in that sense. The funny thing is, if I was introduced to a lady at a function, I’d have no problem talking to her whatsoever. I’m pretty good at conversation, provided I feel something in common with the woman.

Online – I’m meeting quite a lot of women & I’ve slept with many. I use OKC most of the time – I find POF to be pretty crappy.

I’ve slept with women of all races, but most of them are Asian (as in East Asian) or white. Chinese women from China seem to love me because I know a shit load about Chinese stuff; a lot of black American women like me too.

Nobody ever contacts me on OKC or POF – I have to do the chasing. I think in 5 years I’ve had probably 10 women say hi to me – almost all of them gross and fat.

I last slept with somebody on Saturday, she’s white American, and her parents were from UK. I asked her to visit my place and had her on my bed within 20 mins of her walking into my apt. I had IM’d her at 1am the night before, we spoke on the phone from around 2-3am. She was at my place at 6pm! She told me she got wet just talking to me last night and I never mentioned any sexual once. She loved the fact that she was talking to a British guy.

Unfortunately, she was terrible in bed and I don’t think I’ll see her again. She said she said she had gotten divorced a few months ago and just wanted to have some fun.

I would say I have game in seducing a lady into my bed once she’s in my apt, but in the outside world, I have no game whatsoever. How can I fix this?

In terms of appearance I would say I’m average looking, I go to the gym. I’m north Indian, I’m nothing like the stereotypical Indians as in the Indian Race Troll Thread. I have a British accent, medium brown skin & I have wide shoulders. I’m decently dressed, and I don’t smell of curry or BO. I have a short buzzcut and I look about 30, even though I’m 38. A lady thought I was 28 last week.

You already wrote the biggest problem. You don't approach. Start chatting to girls during the day.

Im in the same boat when it comes to friends. I have drinking buddies, but I only really spend time with girls I am persuing. It probably hurts the amount of prospects I have because I'm in university, but you can have 0 friends and still get laid like a champ. You just can't be socially retarded.

LA's a tough market in general but you're letting your big advantage of having a UK accent go to waste, BritishGuru. Have a Chinese friend with a BBC accent and even though he's super short, he always pulls mad girls when he visits me in LA. I spent a summer in Melbourne and I've always been good at accents, and I've noticed increased attention when messing around pretending to be an Aussie. It'd be laughable if it weren't so effective.

If you have approach anxiety, but are good once ice is broken, maybe you should try and use the meetup forum on this site? Find someone who's a good opener and then you can lend an air of sophistication to the group.

In the same boat and would like to hear suggestions. I try to participate in social functions like dance meetups..etc. Use Meetup to find them, there should be plenty in LA.
Try couchsurfing too....just message girls in the are and invite them for a drink.

Another thing - I'm not one to bitch and make excuses, but my area is very heavily Hispanic (Mexican). I'm a lot older than most of the women walking around the streets and a lot of them don't even speak English. I speak zero Spanish.

I've had American friends warn me about Hispanic women - they say that some might try to get pregnant by me...I'm by no means rich, but I'm a lot better off than the average person in my area. I have a master's degree and I'm a professional. A lot of these girls already have a kid by the time they're 16 & work in places like Target or Wal Mart. I'm scared they might try an entrap me - maybe I'm being paranoid?

Regarding meetup groups - any suggestions which ones to join? Language exchange groups? Hiking? Which ones are more likely to have women new to LA in them?

There are actually singles groups on Meetup, try those? There are just so many to choose from, pick the one you have a genuine interest in regardless of women. You want to have something to discuss on your dates, right?
