back when i lived in the states one of the bars near my place was a lesbian bar. i noticed no one had a post on this so thought id share my experience with it. the first time i went there me and my buddy were shit faced and walked to the place thinking it would be a weird new experience. it was weird but when i arrived i realized it was also a potential goldmine for easy access to women.

yes many of the women are dikes like butch types but many are also more feminine bi and also some are completely straight who just go there because they can dance and be with the girls without any guys hitting on them(at least thats what one girl i met said).the first time i went there probably 60 women were there maybe 8 guys who beside me and my friend were gay. you can usually tell the straight or bi women easily because of the way they carry themselves and there look. simply hit them up, start dancing and its on from there.

the major pull i realized is that because there are no other straight guys there the women who arent completely dike will want male attention(they cant escape how they have been conditioned). guess what your gonna be it. i always got digits and usually brought a girl home. btw the straight/bi girls who go to these bars are generally freaks/open minded sexually so they are more inclined for one night stands.

yea most major cities have them. they are a niche but gay bars for men are not as lesbian friendly so they tend to have their own spots.

I've been to lesbian bars a few times, and dated several bi girls. Going to lesbian bars without a female wing sounds like a recipe for disaster. Without social proof, everyone will know what you're doing the second you walk in the door. This is true even for couples looking to score a girl for a threesome. Many dikes are more territorial and confrontational than men. Yes, lesbian bars will have a few femme bi women, but they went there looking for pussy, not cock.

If anyone else has tried picking up in lesbian bars, I'd like to hear the results. In DC there's Phase One, with locations in Dupont and SE.

Since basically everyone there is looking for pussy I think it's probably not a good idea to go unless you can convincingly pose as a gay guy. If you can get digits and shit more power to you I guess. Without a female wing too?

I'm surprised they even let you in the door. Irregardless discrimination laws, most dyke bars I've encountered won't allow men. And most men won't complain because then everyone will know they tried to get into a dyke bar. Even if they do let you in expect to get plenty of glares, shit service and rudeness. Even women with wedding rings get shit service.

There was as a bar near where I lived years ago where the diesels went to refuel. Every night a "Ladies Night, $10" sign was put up on the entrance.

There's a lesbian bar in NYC called the Cubbyhole in Greenwich Village. I've been there a couple of times out of curiosity - both times solo for one drink to see if it would be an interesting niche. The vibe was never good. Very cliquey, mostly hardcore looking lesbians and some gay dudes. No overt rudeness, but certainly not forthcoming either - understandably.

I think you'd have better luck at a gay bar where there are more straight girls, the vibe is likely to be more upbeat and clubby and there's no competition at all for the girls who are there. From experience gay dudes don't cockblock much; I suspect lesbians are much more likely to cockblock, especially if you're picking up on their 'turf'.

Considering how friendly they are, maybe America should go ahead and pass same sex marriage for gay men only.

Think about it - straight white women in America have gay friends. Do straight why guys have lesbian friends? Fuck 'em.

Sounds like a great idea, right?

I had the same one a while ago, so I asked a gay friend of mine if I could join him on the next weekend when he goes out. After all, films and popular culture teach us that many gay guys have heterosexual girls in their friend circle, who are fed up with being approached by all the assholes and creepy dudes and just want to go out, dance and have fun with their girls.
Lots of girls, party vibe, alcohol, no competition ---->pussy paradise!
Oh, the horror...

So we arrived at the first venue, a very popular gay bar. First thought: If these gay guys were into pussy they could get laid just by standing around and wait for girls to approach them. No homo, but I swear they all looked like fitness models. However, one girl, fat, probably a lesbian. Venue change to the most popular gay club in the city. It was wild. Huge muscular and half-naked dudes on the dancefloor, rubbing oil on each other, grinding, you get it.

To make a long story short, four girls in the club. One, average looking, was in a relationship with two bisexual dudes, all three of them constantly making out with each other. Two lesbians, not femme. One girl, good looking, was in fact a guy. Don´t worry, I didn´t have to find out the hard way. He/She/It wasn´t into guys.
I got approached numerous times myself. You know what? Gay guys don´t have game. They don´t need it. Most of them are unbelievably direct and it works for them. As I was about to leave, two guys offered me a threesome. I politely declined.

In summary the stereotype of gay bars being a good pick up venue isn´t true for Austria at least. I´m quite sure it´s different in the States though.
Oh, and don´t even try to get into a lesbian bar here. These bitches are ridiculously intolerant towards men in general. The gay guys don´t mind lesbians partying with them, but the other way round? No way.
