I'm not sure if this exact topic has been discussed somewhere in the plethora of threads on this forum but I wanted to exchange some insights about how to work a venue when you're with a wingman. As this thread develops (hopefully) we can get into more specific scenarios, but I'll just start with some basic ideas.

One thing I notice a lot of guys instinctively do is approach a set of chicks together, even in venues where there are other groups of bangable chicks.

For guys who are experienced in approaching girls alone (like myself), it's probably advantageous to use your wingman (assuming he's around your level or higher) more efficiently.

A guy who's experienced in approaching opening a set of chicks by yourself is often part of the job.

I think in many instances, especially where the girls are cute, approaching with a wingman can be deemed as showing excessive interest with your motives clearly on full display. For me, the two most important fundamentals in an approach is displaying confidence and non-neediness. I think the latter is sometimes compromised when you approach a set with a wingman whereas approaching solo with an indirect opener helps accomplish those fundamentals which are key to building rapport with the group.

What I prefer is that each man approach a group by himself. Once you ingratiate yourself in the set, you can eventually call your wingman over - depending on how he's doing with his set - and introduce him to the girls. Vice versa as well. I have often found this to be the best method. If the girls in your set are asking you questions (a good sign of rapport development), you can throw in bits about your wingman so that they are positively awaiting to meet him before he eventually comes over. This is best when you have multiple girls in a group that are bangable.

This is also important because in venues where there are groups of girls that are bangable, there only is a matter of time before someone else moves in on them. In that case, your team doesn't eat. It's better to use your resources more efficiently so that you have the maximum amount of exposure to girls that are in the venue.

I have no problem sharing this because 1) many guys will never actually execute this advice 2) some of the ones who do still have rejection anxiety so the WHAT you say is being adhered to but the HOW you say it isn't. 3) If you're in DC reading this, you're basically fucked! Good look finding a venue that even has multiple groups of bangable chicks!

All the amount of game knowledge in the world is useless without practical experience. You have to get out there and sacrifice your time, money and energy in pursuit of the notch. You have to take rejection over and over again until it's not personal to you anymore. Outside of social circle, this is really the only way to make it happen.

Now with the sets themselves (lets say two girls), if there's only one girl in the group that you find bangable and the other is not, don't even use a wingman in this situation because your wing shouldn't get the short end of the stick anyway. That's not helpful to his dick or his game unless your wing is going to take any notch. What you want to do is strike a fine balance between building rapport with the attractive one and gaining her unattractive friend's approval so you can fuck. There isn't a one size fits all method for how to do this since situational factors are often relevant (the relationship btwn the girls, the last time they may have gotten laid, and the intensity of the less/un-attractive friend's cockblock propensity). Your goal is to minimize the cockblock so you want to show equal attention to both girls but be sure not to show any sexual interest in the unattractive one because your target will assume you want her friend and will not step over her toes for you. You may not get the ONS when there's only two girls but definitely a number close.

I always got the feeling that approaching sets with a wingman is something that really nervous dudes would do. Girls just don't give you the benefit of the doubt. Solid post though.

Sounds like you're overthinking the whole thing. Girls respond to emotions, specifics like this don't matter if you're having a good time.

I never thought this out as a strategy. But I've been doing this since high school.

it actually started as a way to push my friend onto girls so i could get rid of his approach anxiety.

i would tell him to approach first and i watch from afar. if he looked like he was about to go downhill, i would walk in an join the group.
if he was doing good, I'd just wait around longer or go open some other girls.

this works great at outdoor events like concerts. since people are often walking around or trying to find tables, whatnot
if a group ever called someone out about being alone. it's easy to lie and say your friend "is off looking for a bathroom" or" you lost them in the crowd and you girls look like fun"

You could also play a spontaneous routine.
pretend you walked by, overheard the girls conversation and joined in. minutes into the conversation, you invite the girls to your table or whatever to continue the conversation.

i did this a many times before i recognized it as an "insta date"

Me and a friend were at a big festival and would take girls on a walk to get away from the loud music.

the walk always led in the vicinity of our hotel...

Exactly. There's a lot of ways you can operate. I just want to stress how important it is to be efficient when there are many girls around at a venue. Operating independently of your wingman and vice versa will allow you to meet more women. Many places close up shop at 2am so in many instances you don't have a lot of time to work a venue.

Note: I also have been doing things habitually before I learned there were PUA terms for it. Good shit.
